Interesting to burn through two of the top three BP arms in a non-save situation. I understand using Duran because he hasn't pitched in nearly a week, but using Smith and Pagan is a bit odd. Thought we would see Sands MLB debut in bottom 9.

You aren't going to get a much better time than a 4 (now 5) run lead. Of course, you can always wait until you're down. But if you don't trust a guy up 4 or 5 runs to get 3 outs, you probably should've called someone else up.
