glunn Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Duffey needs to re-establish himself.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I like outings from Ober like this. Very good job!
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Who is Gilbert Celestino and why is he on this team. and Roccos obsession with not letting Gordon play c.f. late in games, yesterdays descision cost a homerun and todays garlick batting against a r.h. is just as bad,
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 It doesn't look like the Duffmister's curve is working very well today.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 THey say if you go to a baseball game, you're likely to see something you've never seen before. Duffey somehow managed to walk JBJ.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Cmon' Twins! I wanna winner winner lamber dinner!

PatPfund Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Brutal substitution for Gordon; weakened the D (putting a weaker RF out there and a RF in CF which didn't help with the tag play). And got us two more Ks in the score card. Any word on the TV side on Gordon being hurt? Or was it a Rocco special? I'd really like to see Celestino and Garlick go down, and give Contreras a shot. And it looks like Miranda is heating up. Not sure either Urshela, Sano, or any bench player is hitting well enough to keep him in the minors. The Twins just can't work with all the weak bats in lineup (especially with a stud injured, and another in a deep slump).

AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 So, in the 6th the Red Sox get 1 hit and score 2 runs. Top of the 7th the Twins get 3 hits and score 1 run. We gotta work on this.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 In Spring training I kept hearing how Duffey had regained some velocity on his fastball, but any gains seem to have disappeared. He's probably fine in a 6th or 7th inning role, but without the extra velocity he shouldn't be out there in the 8th or 9th.
PatPfund Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Oh, and I threw up in my mouth a little when I heard Stashak was back.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Hey, didn't you used to be Carlos Correa?
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Is it a little early to think about a front office house cleaning this fall?
Miggy's Little Helper Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Gotta love Rocco bringing in Thielbar here. Has there ever been a manager that plays to lose the game more than Rocco? He gives up in every close game that we are trailing.
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 *** ALERT *** Sanchez blocks a pitch in the dirt!

The pitching was the big area of need, and it hasn't been bad. Tough to work around the no-hitting (and the Kirilloff wrist debacle, though they certainly should have known when camp opened that he was still in pain).

Rocco's not the problem, in this case.
PatPfund Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Well, Caleb has looked bad (and kinda over).
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Sano apologists really laying it on thick
