GAME THREAD: 7/6/21 Minnesota Twins vs Chicago White Sox, 7:10 PM CDT

[Aggies7]

You wonder if anything would have been different for colome this year if he didn’t inexplicably throw to second base on opening day

[garn from vancouver]

right on. take the guy that's wheeling and dealing out and put in colome. seems right.

[gunnarthor]

Man, this team is just not fun to watch

[USAFChief]

Spoiler alert:

Aaron Rogers and Bryson Dechambeau win "the match."

Rogers immediately demanded they extend his contract.

I think the problem was more related to his throwing to home plate.

[Vanimal46]

I don’t think anyone would be upset calling it right now with the rain. The bats don’t appear to be showing up tonight.

That’s what you think

[Aggies7]

3 errors

5 strikeouts looking

[RickOShea]

Wow, Rocco reaaly let the ump have it.  Cruz has got feel good as how rocco backed him up.

[Vanimal46]

Coulombe is the best AAA has to offer. Woof.

[notoriousgod71]

Let 'em have it, Kaat!

That's solid!

[ShawnInBloomington]

So....foul tick for a 3rd strike & Bremmer says it hit the ground because NEllie claimed that...

They show a replay & Kitty Kaat says it hit the ground...

It was 8 inches above the dirt when Jeffers gloved it...

Maybe the Bally Sports backup crew can have an ear=piece in these old guys' ears so when they don't see something correctly they can tell the viewers they were mistaken?

[operation mindcrime]

Good thing Donaldson didn't play tonight he might've got injured in this weather!

[Brock Beauchamp]

This is the Twinsiest 2021 box score I’ve seen yet.

We should've used Coulombe instead of Colome!

What kind of extension does Coulombe demand from the front office!

He shut me up tonight after striking out the side. I have my doubts going forward about a guy around my age finding a sustainable way to be an MLB pitcher out of no where. Tonight is his night!

[Aggies7]

If that game a few weeks ago was played, this one probably wouldn’t have been

Concur.

To be fair, many of the more recent Twins hits barely beat a throw to first, and Cruz' was just special.

[Vanimal46]

Billy Hamilton. Holy cow.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Buxton gets that.

Accounts vary about the number he has in mind, but my source tells me it's been a constant  8.988×10⁹ N⋅m²⋅C⁻² all along...

No rain in that man’s eyes...

And to think, MLB contracts are guaranteed!!!

Basically the Twins pitching staff has been reduced to Make a Wish for failed and fringe MLB hitters.

Nice to see Slidin' Billy can still go get it though... his uniform kinda reminds me of how Nick Punto was so reliant on his gritty reputation that his uniform would look like that after an inning as a defensive sub without a fielding chance.

He must have slip 'n' slide experience.

But yeah, a good one!

Worth staying up for.

[Vanimal46]

He’s looking down in pride that his uniform is filthy. What a catch!

[operation mindcrime]

Wow what a fantastic catch by Hamilton!

I wish other players were willing to be paid in Newton-Meters-squared....

Game over, man.
