MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 So, I put on some Krupa this morning, then plant some wildflowers out front (for the bees) and water them. So, I'm ready to come inside and enjoy the Twins, only to find out we're already down by 2... Isn't it the 3rd time through the order that's supposed to be dangerous? Yeezus...
a-wan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Unless your pitcher is named DeGrom, pitchers are going to give up hits. Exit velocities under 80mph for Shoemaker on 2/3 hits. Complaining about it is just whining to whine.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Jersey Hot-Fried Chicken?Doubtful... Ain't been a lot of chicken served around these parts in the past couple weeks.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 TBH, Shoemaker looked all right in the first. The second hitter poked a somewhat elevated pitch to center for a single and the third hitter hit basically a pop fly double.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I think Kirilloff will be a good hitter for the Twins in the future, but right now I'm not sure he's MLB ready. I think Larnach should have been given a shot first.

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Damn, you can't hit a ball much harder than that. Tough break, Alex.

shortround81 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I love baseball, but this is going to be in a slow-a** game
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 So here in Tucson, the weather is already pretty nice. In fact, the community pool in my housing development opened up this weekend. I figured I'd go over for a quick swim this morning before the ball game. Place was predictably packed. Kids and moms everywhere. Well, wouldn't you know it, I no sooner got there than I had to...go. Number 1. I went to the deep end, way away from the kiddies...and I went. I know, I know, should have went to the restroom. But let's be honest, who hasn't done the same? Well I had just started when the lifeguard is blowing her whistle at me, and I mean LOUD. Ladies yelling and shouting. It really startled me! Scared me so bad I almost fell in.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 There’s the 1-2-3 Inning we needed
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 We need to get some of those 5-9 guys going
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Big league umps don't often miss calls that easy.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 92, center cut. Zero movement. Tough pitch.

MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Can you challenge as many calls per game as you want, as long as they are all successful?https://www.mlb.com/glossary/rules/manager-challenge"Replay review was modified again in 2015, permitting managers to retain their challenge after every overturned call"
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Leopards are well known for the inability to change their spots, and so is Astudillo.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 This lineup is just so disappointing once runners get on. Already 1 for 5 in RISP today...
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 RISP ... funny stat. Who leads MLB in most runners left in scoring position? No peaking.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 What is the source of this chicken dinnah stuff? I seriously don't know. How did it get started? A movie reference or something? Some wise and hilarious gentlemen poster usually follows a win by posting "winnah." That evolved to "winner winner chicken dinner." That evolved into posting pics of delicious chicken dishes. Im not sure the origin of the actual phrase "winner winner chicken dinner" I've always assumed it has it's origins in Vegas, where it used to be that a small win would be enough to buy your dinner. But I don't know. Too much information?
