h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 That was the perfect pitch that you deserve more than any other.
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Are Dick and Justin still going with “the lack of on field batting practice” as the reason for this travesty of an offense?Naw, now it's the weather preventing any sort of rhythm early this season.
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 C'mon, Garv has had a perfect day; 0-3 with 3 K's.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Naw, now it's the weather preventing any sort of rhythm early this season.Interesting. What weather are the pirates playing in?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Ducks on the pond for Donaldson.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Interesting. What weather are the pirates playing in?to be fair, they're on the field for shorter half innings.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Donaldson gets paid a tremendous amount of money to knock in 3 runs here.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 The visiting clubhouse is warmer...Rocco won’t allow heaters in the dugout. He learned that from an old Minnesota coach
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 No rain. Just splashing the bat in the puddle.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I just don't get how you can watch the games this season (and last season for that matter) and not think that the hitting coach needs to be changed.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 That was sad. Twins plate discipline not good.
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Geez, why even throw a fastball to any Twins hitters.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Rocco won’t allow heaters in the dugout. He learned that from an old Minnesota coachBut that was FOOSBALL. (See 0:32)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fp0rt8nGNI

cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 IDK WTF is wrong with this team rn
jun Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I don't think anybody expected it to be the start of a rebuild this season, but looks like the Twins are headed that way. It's not hard to see. Twins did not address the bullpen and the offense in the offseason. May, Clippard, Wisler, Romo, Hill, Rosario, Gonzalez, Avila and Adrianza were a big part of the team last year. It was a short season, Twins was lucky to win the division. I predicted this is not the season we expect before the start of the season. I guess it's even worse than I thought.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 How much change would we see if we lost 100 games this year?
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Are we really this bad? Is our offense and defense really this bad?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Bring in the pen, and it's 4 runs in 2.2 innings. All 4 Bullpen runs. At least Stashak didn't let the inherited runner score in the 6th.
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 How much change would we see if we lost 100 games this year?A Tums dispenser installed in the clubhouse.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 4 pitches down the middle so far to Buxton, and missed them all.... touched them.... but missed them.
singlesoverwalks Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 RE: Kirilloff, I feel like the Twins' prospects don't reach the majors as well prepared as other teams' prospects. If you're Houston or Tampa Bay you can call up one of your top prospects (Carlos Correa, Yordan Alvarez, Randy Arrozarena) and they're contributing very soon. But the Twins' prospects - at least their hitters - always look totally raw and at a loss when they get called up. That was how Buxton and Sano looked when they were first called up, and it's how Kirlloff looks now. Do we teach pitch selection in the minors? Kirlloff started his days by swinging at a couple of unhittable low sliders. Buxton and Sano had the same issue.
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I think the Twins need a rally song for when the going gets tough. I propose "Dance To The Music" by Sly and the Family Stone. We won an all U of M foosball tournament one year using that ploy. He he.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Could Baldelli be fired before the season ends? Because if that happens...oof
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 If Kirilloff is THE big star prospect of the Twins farm system, I think this team might be in trouble.
