stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Donaldson makes those plays on slow bouncers look easy. Pretty sure they aren't.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Cruz just fielded two grounders, and they say he can't play defense!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Cruz just fielded two grounders, and they say he can't play defense!Gonna have to assess an error on the 2nd one.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Donaldson, Cruz and Buxton all go out. I would have bet that they'd at least tie the score.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Twins hitters are smashing the ball... ...right into Pirates’ gloves.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Man, it would be really embarrassing to lose a home series to the pirates
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I heard Cleveland is going to change their nickname. I wonder if they’ve come up with anything yet. How about Cleveland Rocks? Drew Carey could be their mascot.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 We lost a series to the Mariners, how much more embarrassing can it getSeattle is a good team. Pittsburgh is not
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 By the way (like anyone cares) the team leading MLB in runners left on base? LA Dodgers. Clearly, they've put a lot of men on base.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Wil Crowe, with his career whip of 2.75, just shutting us down, ladies and gents
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Seattle is a good team. Pittsburgh is notI think the Mariners have only been good since they played the Twins, who were also good before they played the Mariners
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I think the Mariners have only been good since they played the Twins, who were also good before they played the MarinersWell whatever the reason, they have the third best record in the AL
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Even Dick Bremer seemingly losing patience with Garver. Getting a little sick of the guys in our booth gushing over 2019 stats for some batters. Enough already.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Nice pickoff by Shoemaker and Astudillo.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I can’t take austudillo seriously as a ball player with the silly stuff he does.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Fun with numbers: coming into today's game, Astudillo's batting average was .293. His OBP... .286. True story.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Trouble sleeping? Just turn on a Twins game this season. That should do the trick

KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 That's a 105-win pace. It's possible.For 5 straight months
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 This team is absolutely lifeless right now. About the same amount of energy as a nursing home
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 This team is absolutely lifeless right now. About the same amount of energy as a nursing homeMan I’d love to make a joke about this but I’d get some warning points for sure
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 What's the quirk in the quirky one's story? *or it is a misprint? Because I don't see how it's possible. It's possible. OBP = (H + BB + HBP)/(AB + BB + HBP + Sac Flies) Sac bunts are removed from both sides of the equation. Practical result of zero walks, but at least one sac fly...OBP lower than BA.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 About the outing I expected from Shoemaker. Didn't give up much hit hard outside of Frazier and got semi-unlucky with the 2 runs given up in the first. If the Twins go on to lose this game, it isn't on him. 5.1 with 2 runs is about as good as you can ask for out of your #5 starter.
