I think Donaldson should get reps at 1B when he comes back

He has a reputation for being an excellent defender at third base. It doesn't make sense to me to move him to first.

I must concur.

But i am not surprised it didn't happen.

I don't think it was likely, if possible at all.

 

Buxton (rightly) views himself as a potential MVP-level player and the Twins (rightly) view him as a player that can't be MVP because he can't stay on the field.

 

I suspect the numbers each party put on the table were wildly different.

Sano with a hitters count and a duck (A Buck actually!) just sitting on the pond waiting to be driven in...and Sano whiffs yet again, and looks bad doing it.

When Buxton came up he was also a strikeout machine...but somehow he has managed to learn how to make contact...in a big way.

Sano needs to sit. His AB's are getting uglier...and even if he were to make a mistake today and hit one out, with the Twins decent lead, it wouldn't be all that meaningful.
