All I see on Gameday is that Donaldson hit a home run and it appears he was ejected immediately after. What happened?

he kicked dirt on the plate after rounding the bases as a way of showing up the HP ump. He got what he wanted, and what he deserved.

Yep. Not even at the ump. On the plate. Ump called strike one on him on a pitch that was at least three inches outside. Josh expressed some dissatisfaction with the call. Then homered on the next pitch.

For some reason my mind is telling me he had one in KC a couple of years ago but don't quote me on that.
