TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Is it just me or....Why wasnt Odorizzi available to start THIS game. I know everyone loves the cult hero Dobnak. Quite frankly he has been trending downward. Everyone with a spread sheet go ahead but i would argue that his successes have been against the "have nots" in the M.L.B. and also...Is it just me that thinks this is a big series? Having Blankenthorn(in my side) play in a big game like this is a joke. Having him come along for depth is cool but Gonzalez or Adrianza should be out there today. Its no secret I hate losing to any Chicago team but to hand it to them like this is making me sick. Dobber is what he is, a long reliever. Rocco aint gonna like it when the Yankees come to town for the first round. The time to make hay is NOW. These chumps are celebrating like its the World Series....we should give them a pop in the nose. I will shut up now. But we're trying to keep people rested (#sarcasm). Rested for what, who the heck knows; it's only a 60-game season. We're playing for the division and seeding here and we have yet to put out our strongest lineup.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Is that why they’re dead? You asked everyone? I remember plenty of dead times in the past. Maybe they don’t come around because they can’t express themselves without being scolded?True that i am alk a fine line every time(i love johnny cash) The Twins act like this is no big deal well.....NYY is coming to town...at a theater near all of you...so fu*€K around now and ill see you crying on foxsports north about what a great group we have, and how proud you are(Rocco Baldahlillama)
Longdistancetwins Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Twins will come back and take this game. Stop “the mindless bitching.”
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Man, pitch to hit, there, Sano-zee. AND...a pitch NOT to hit, there, Sano-zee.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I understand that can't see the bitching, because you're one of the biggest ones on this site. It's hard to hang around. I haven't been part of this for 2 years because of it. It's probably because the Twins are good, or fairly good, that the complaints come fast and furious. When they were bad, really bad, we had more fun. Well, anyway.I never understood why a fan isn’t allowed to express frustration on this site? I applaud loudly when necessary. I was also here in the 90 loss seasons, and very few posters have been here through all that. Maybe if you positive guys and gals posted more you’d drown out the whiners. I guess it’s better to just whine about the whiners.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I think Smeltzer went down when Blankenhorn was recalled. Well that's a relief

We're playing for the division and seeding here and we have yet to put out our strongest lineup.Isn't this our best lineup, minus Arraez for Blankenhorn? Jeffers has an OPS over .900 and everyone else is pretty firmly entrenched as a starter. Marwin is currently sick and was hitting .620 OPS anyways, and Adrianza's at a pathetic .537 OPS, so he's not worth penciling into the lineup most days.
blindeke Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Man the umpire must hate Randy.

WTF is Blankenthor even doing in the lineup? Gonzalez has homered in his last 2 days. Of course nobody will tell us what was wrong with him last night but Sano and Rosario are back now. Do these guys not realize this $hit is real? IMHO the chicago White Sox are Chumps but in a 60 game season they are the clear defined enemy in front of us. To not hit em with all you have is either Stupidity or Arrogance. I sincerely hope im wrong. This bad news bears crap is tough to watch.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Now there’s a good inning
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 You would think Blankenhorn would take a couple pitches and get a little comfortable in the box before he swings. I can't really say I've ever seen any of his at-bats outside of tonight. What's the scouting report on this guy?

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Don't be fooled by one good inning. Like I have been saying for the last 4 Dobnak starts (even the one good one 3 starts back), the smoke and mirrors is over for Dobnak. Be thankful we got what we did. But to rely on Dobnak in the future as a regular starter will not help win games, and will be misguided.

Rooker and Jeffers did well being thrust into the lineup, I don't see what's so bad about giving Blankenhorn a chance here. Better than Adrianza's bat, likely.

I am sure fricken Larnach, Kiriloff, and Lewis would give us a better chance to win. I mean....this series doesnt mean anything ....or...wait....$hit
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I don't complain about HP umpiring often, but when the inevitable happens and we get an electronic zone (which will be a mistake), this guy will be the reason.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Dick mentioned that the Twins were 9-2 when Polanco was leadoff when Kepler was injured. Why change what was working? Kepler doesn't own the leadoff spot.

flpmagikat Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Exactly, and I react to both good AND bad. Why else watch, if not to experience some emotion? Plenty of good and bad in this game alone. Like, watching rosario swing through a fastball at his eyes and buxton hit what should be his second inside the park homerun this week is all part of the Twins experience, which is mostly enjoyable
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 This is one of the many things that irritate me about Rocco. When Dobnak is getting lit up why is he allowed to throw 20-30 more pitches than when he is throwing a 2 hit shutout? It should be the other way around. Rocco seems to want five innings out of his starters no matter what the game circumstances are.
