This 5 innings or less per start strategy is taking its toll, even in a 60 game season. A good starting pitching staff is worth every penny if you want to win, especially in the playoffs

dessert? Win 101 games, set a new MLB record for homeruns in a season, get swept by the Yankees in first round... That’s like putting whipped cream on a turd

I'd like to see Rocco have Buxton in the leadoff spot one of these games

 

Amen to that.  I've always thought he'd make a great leadoff guy.  But then, I'm an 80's kid and I remember when your biggest offensive weapon was guys who could get on base, steal 2nd (and 3rd maybe), and be a total terror.  The bashing of last year is over; teams know what the Twins are about.

 

In my perfect world where we have a totally healthy squad, here's what I'd run out there:

 

Buxton 

Polanco

Cruz

Sano

Donaldson

Rosario

Kepler

Garver

He threw a sim game in St Paul on...Friday?? Not sure of the day, but he's supposedly ready to be activated.

batters should always run full speed to first on a walk. maybe 1 out of every 1000 times you reach second base on the play. But that’s better than zero

Romo has actually been fine.
