Among the next on the HR list for Cruz is Darrell Evans. Gladden just reminded people of Evans getting picked off third in Game 4 of the 1987 ALCS. The Twins weren’t too good in our dating years, so that season was Mrs. IT’s intro to my fanaticism. She went to bed in the top or middle of the eighth and said, “Now, keep it down out there.”

 

Not five minutes later came the play, and I burst off the couch with a huge, “YESSS!!!!” I immediately went back to apologize. Apology immediately accepted, and I was reminded again of the wise choice I’d made. We hit 34 years earlier this month, and I’m still thankful.

One good thing, and maybe the only good thing, is that they haven't had the bleeping drum mixed in.

 

I would like to watch a game with no false noise of any kind just to see what it's like. This season is a unique opportunity for this which may never again present itself. Can't that be done just once? Please???

If you just want to get an impression, you can watch this one game between the Orioles and the White Sox in 2015 on YouTube where they played without fans. And where they didn't play crowd noise.

I'm going to log off at work tomorrow around noon and tell them I'm saving myself for potentially one day of work in October, which will still end around noon.

Not five minutes ago Dick pointed out that Alcala had not yet given up a run. Someone with his amount of baseball experience should know better than to utter such a blatant jinx.

He did this to Dobnak the other day too regarding home runs and then KC hit back-to-back home runs.

He would be the first to tell you that nothing he says has any affect on the game. Of course we all know he’s full of sh*t

Why not bring in Duffey? 2-3-4 hitters due up for Cleveland. Alcala is a rookie, and while he has good stuff and can hit 98, Duffey is probably more equipped mentally to go out there are perform.
