IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Among the next on the HR list for Cruz is Darrell Evans. Gladden just reminded people of Evans getting picked off third in Game 4 of the 1987 ALCS. The Twins weren’t too good in our dating years, so that season was Mrs. IT’s intro to my fanaticism. She went to bed in the top or middle of the eighth and said, “Now, keep it down out there.” Not five minutes later came the play, and I burst off the couch with a huge, “YESSS!!!!” I immediately went back to apologize. Apology immediately accepted, and I was reminded again of the wise choice I’d made. We hit 34 years earlier this month, and I’m still thankful.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 So Hill can’t go one more? These 4 innings of bullpen are going to bite us eventually
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Last inning for This Just In Beiber.
BeatTheRich Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Ok. Rocco. Let him go out for the 6th... He's at 78 pitches, and a little out of pitching shape. You think? Didn't notice if they're warming someone up.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 High leverage Alcala...here we go
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 He's at 78 pitches, and a little out of pitching shape. You think? Didn't notice if they're warming someone up. Well he just struck out the side, so I'd be inclined to give him a chance to start the inning.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Although I do like the different approaches of Alcala and Hill. Give the Cleveland hitters a different look.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 The Indians don’t stop the noise
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I guess Luis doesn't dive for baseballs that are within reach...
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I'm going to log off at work tomorrow around noon and tell them I'm saving myself for potentially one day of work in October, which will still end around noon.
Sielk Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 One good thing, and maybe the only good thing, is that they haven't had the bleeping drum mixed in. I would like to watch a game with no false noise of any kind just to see what it's like. This season is a unique opportunity for this which may never again present itself. Can't that be done just once? Please???If you just want to get an impression, you can watch this one game between the Orioles and the White Sox in 2015 on YouTube where they played without fans. And where they didn't play crowd noise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r0H6FqW94Q

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Not five minutes ago Dick pointed out that Alcala had not yet given up a run. Someone with his amount of baseball experience should know better than to utter such a blatant jinx.
BeatTheRich Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Well he just struck out the side, so I'd be inclined to give him a chance to start the inning. Ack. And you'd be right.

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Why not bring in Duffey? 2-3-4 hitters due up for Cleveland. Alcala is a rookie, and while he has good stuff and can hit 98, Duffey is probably more equipped mentally to go out there are perform.
