Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 If this turns out to be a loss, it would be the most deserved loss imaginable10 hits, 2 runs. Disagree
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Kind of surprised to see Berrios pulled after such a good start and less than 90 pitchesI don’t like it either.I’m sure the Brewers are happy that he’s gone
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I believe the Twins went 4 for 8 with RISP the last three innings. We're up by half a dozen, right?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I don’t like it either.I’m sure the Brewers are happy that he’s goneJust weird to let Maeda go 113 pitches or whatever it was but pull Berrios at 89
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Gotta like the guys with the infinity k/bb stats. 12:0 looks good.
Sielk Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Oh of course, should have noticed that. Stupid of me.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Just weird to let Maeda go 113 pitches or whatever it was but pull Berrios at 89He was pitching a no hitter , only reason he was still in
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 uhhhh....welp. Hopefully hitting .500 with RISP doesn't bite us
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I believe the Twins went 4 for 8 with RISP the last three innings. We're up by half a dozen, right? We have an infinite times as many runs as the Brewers.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Well, let the second-guessing begin.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 He was pitching a no hitter , only reason he was still inAnd Berrios was pitching a 1 hitter
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 10 hits, 2 runs. DisagreeBases loaded, 1 out, bases loaded 0 outs in back to back innings has to yield more than a run. And one swing, and it’s a 1 run game as I type
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 We have an infinite times as many runs as the Brewers.I blame myself for that HR.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Just weird to let Maeda go 113 pitches or whatever it was but pull Berrios at 89My opinion? Trust your pen and let Jose leave on a high note and feeling confident.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 And Berrios was pitching a 1 hitterWell, I agree with you, he could have pitched at least one more, and Duffer gives up a dinger to prove us right
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 We have an infinite times as many runs as the Brewers. Not for an infinate lenght of time, though.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Isn't that the 1st run of the year he's allowed? Figures in a 2-0 game.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Guessing we see the typical Romo-Rogers finish here...would be nice to add on and not need them though.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I have zero problem with removing Berrios at that point. None. Right call, IMO. Let him leave feeling great, and it's better to remove a starter an inning early than a partial inning late.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 My opinion? Trust your pen and let Jose leave on a high note and feeling confident. Though that homer doesn’t look good, I’m with you. Even at only 60 games, it’s still a long season. Berrios has to be chomping at the bit to get out there next time and prove that tonight was legit. Sometimes the right decision doesn’t lead to the results you want, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right decision.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Top of the order in a frustrating game. Anyone else feel we're about to break out?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Gotta like the guys with the infinity k/bb stats. 12:0 looks good.not really true, 12/0 is not infinity, the rule is you cannot divide by 0,
Sielk Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Isn't that the 1st run of the year he's allowed? Figures in a 2-0 game. But at least it was only that solo homer. Hopefully that was all the Brewers are getting tonight.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 not really true, 12/0 is not infinity, the rule is you cannot divide by 0, Thank you. I’m usually the one being anal about that. I meant “undefined.” By the way, ask Siri what 0 divided by 0 is.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Mostly agree with the decision to pull Berríos, but it would be nice to get 7 from a sharp starter more than once a month.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Thank you. I’m usually the one being anal about that. I meant “undefined.”I know, I felt I owed you that
