I've never seen someone strikeout so much. Sano drives me nuts.

But Garver's trying to to single handedly will this team to a win. Pitching has been really good the past 3 games too, hoping that continues (knock on wood).

I think Cruz getting himself tossed on the worst umpiring call of the season was a good veteran move. He wasn't going to get in the game anyway and someone needed to call out Diaz.

Sano not seeing many fastballs lately, certainly none in the strike zone.

Might need to make an adjustment and start looking for those off-speed or breaking balls more often.

How can that possibly be? These are not tenured professors or federal judges.

I find that kind of hard to believe. There must be some ways that chronic poor performers can be removed at season's end.

Two strikes called balls against Polanco. This umpire is just simply awful. Are they assessed and fired based on performance?

Obviously not. Otherwise Laz Diaz would've been gone a long time ago

I'm surprised that 1-2 pitch that was only 12" outside wasn't called a strike.

In fairness to Diaz, he's only called that pitch a strike when it hasn't also bounced in front of home plate.

Well, he called that one right. But I'm certainly sympathetic with the batter if he disagrees, based on historical evidence.

Puig looks to be a player that has a ton of talent, decent personality but just doesn't get it some times.

Puig with another xbh.

Well, even when it's the other team, you have to like it when success comes to good guys who play the game right.

Twins are yelling from the dugout, hoping for a balk call from a guy who called Cron's strike three on a pitch where Perez was set up in St. Louis Park.

I knew SOMETHING had to be happening in St. Louis Park!

They're unionized, and their union is incredibly strong. There is no official way to fire an umpire.

Granted, if one went on a murder spree, they'd probably try, or at least sit him in a rubber room until the trial or whatever, but yeah. There's no official termination process.
