You are on topic... There isn't much off topic in a game thread.

I just want to point out that if you spend your time talking about Buxton getting hurt before he gets hurt...

You'll have nothing left to say once he gets hurt.

Somehow remeniscent of the Dane's logic in Miller's Crossing.

I approve.

Wow, that Detroit runner has had every opportunity to not go station-to-station.

Considering how fast I was in my 20's... I wonder how I would rank as a base runner at my age 24 speed for example.

I'm sure I wouldn't be able to steal bases unless the pitcher was sleeping. But I also think I would have been fast enough to score from first base on doubles in the gap.

I was thinking maybe in the 30 to 40 percentile. But then it occurs to me... I'd never be on base.

You can't steal first base. At least not in real baseball.

I often thought rims that constrict would be a great home field advantage in basketball.

How about hydraulic outfield walls that slide backwards when the road team hits?

Well, I'm not sure it's physically possible to move the walls back far enough, considering some of the shots opposing teams have hit.

I was a great base stealer in my one year of Little League. It was the summer before I got glasses. Unfortunately the runner already on second base sometimes wasn't on the same page as me.

If we are to follow the trend this season, the Twins will not do anything offensively the rest of the game. Kepler hit a lead off home run.

I think you could do it.

However, I'd worry about the the guy working the Leinenkugel cart in the concourse getting crushed.

Reminds me of an old baseball story: A player stole third, while someone was already on the base. The player on the base asked him where he was going, and the reply, "Back to second, if I can make it!"

True story, though, I don't remember the players involved.

That would be the real tragedy.

I missed the pregame show. Did anyone explain why Gibson wears a dark cap while all his defenders have white?

We do know that Edwin Jackson stinks right??

Every other team knows this.

However, I'm not sure the Twins have been told this.

ML rules, a pitcher cannot wear a white cap, last night the Twins wore blue caps

Give Gardy credit, he's got his team playing to the best of their ability/talent.

Amazing.
