Game Thread: Twins vs. Detroit 5:10 PM PST (7:10 PM CDT) 8/23/2019

[ashbury]

Thank God for the short backstop

Jason's 6-foot 3. That's tall enough.

Oh, PS:

SANO !!!!

[DiscGolfer]

[operation mindcrime]

Oh, PS:

SANO !!!!

I was referencing how close the limestone is to home

[ashbury]

When Jose places the change in the bottom of the strike zone, it's a really, really good pitch.

Kind of where a changeup should be, no?

[FlauerPauer]

Kind of where a changeup should be, no?

Well Giolito was throwing basically nothing but high changes lol

You're right though. It should be down in the zone.

BOQUETON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Diesel]

Sano is good

[ashbury]

I was referencing how close the limestone is to home

Yeah, that was clear. Just a little play on words for ya.

[GCTF]

Just tuning in now but all I've got on is a cricket match.

[ashbury]

Truly a change of pace.

[Squirrel]

They're all volunteering at the asylum after the game.

That makes way more sense than what I thought ... a nod to Mad Magazine Spy vs Spy

[wabene]

Regarding the OP: Drac, Grace, Cary and Frank

in a nice nutshell, exactly!

[LVTwinsfan]

Yeah, that was clear. Just a little play on words for ya.

I guess I m a little foggy

[Blake]

These uniforms: Is this a polo team?

I was thinking jockeys.

[FLTwinsGuy]

Its a struggle with every batter for berrios..where is the strikeout pitch?

[LVTwinsfan]

Caveman , of course, what else would you call him

[Blake]

I think Rick Anderson is one of the worst pitching coaches the Twins ever had

Which now make Anderson one of the best pitching coaches the Twins ever had?

[LVTwinsfan]

Which now make Anderson one of the best pitching coaches the Twins ever had?

Im surprised he has a job

[Squirrel]

in a nice nutshell, exactly!

I almost said ‘yes’ to Nat or Frank. A lot of the stuff NKC did with his jazz trio were really great. But I went with crooner of crooners.

[FLTwinsGuy]

Berrios sure hasnt had many 1-2-3 innings lately

[Danchat]

Im surprised he has a job

He has a job because Gardy has one. Gardy likes to employ his buddies as coaches, sometimes to the detriment to the team.

[Blake]

Regarding the OP: Drac, Grace, Cary and Frank

You do realize these questions are also designed to get people to date themselves, right?*

*And I just teed that one up!

[ScrapTheNickname]

Polanco seems to pull off almost every time he hits. That is, he falls away to the right so he doesn't make hard contact - like he used to in the 1st half of the year!

He had one last time pitched vs the Rangers ... but we need more of that.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

So it looks like every game in the majors is cricket-match uniforms tonight

Liriano was a pretty good pitcher before Anderson filled his head with doubt

What is a Grand Poobah?

[DiscGolfer]

What was that about a 1-2-3 inning?
