SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Good Gibson making an appearance?LOL way too early for that - he hasn't been very good so far. The GB DP kept him out of real deep waters.

jz7233 Provisional Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Is Hiura a rookie? Wow this kid can really hit, also hit for power. He should be NL rookie of the year.
SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Gibson just is not very good.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Good Gibson making an appearance?Never mind.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Good thing Twins are hitting the bombas today. Might need 10 to win today.
Darius Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Gibson just refuses to allow a multi-run lead to hold for a full inning.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I have become NUMB from watching Gibby, Tell him take his 2 best pitches go to the bullpen and learn how to throw them , this right now is not working,
rghrbek Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 2 and 2/3rd and he's given up 6 hits and walked 2....We will need to continue to hit bombs
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Good thing Twins are hitting the bombas today. Might need 10 to win today.Or only three bombas if there are some runners on base.
SpicyGarvSauce Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 How in the world is Gibson 2nd among all starting pitchers in whiff rate on his breaking pitches?
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Gibson just refuses to allow a multi-run lead to hold for a full inning. As have most of our other starters in the recent past. Kinda disheartening.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Is Hiura a rookie? Wow this kid can really hit, also hit for power. He should be NL rookie of the year. Tatis, Alonso, Reynolds, Vergugo, Soroka, Paddack are all well ahead of him. He can really hit though.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Not through three inning and there's already been 110 pitches.
Battle ur tail off Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Gibson sucks this year. That is all.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Pitcher on deck, do not give him anything to hit. Walk is fine.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Another disaster averted. Sort of.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 How in the world is Gibson 2nd among all starting pitchers in whiff rate on his breaking pitches? He has good stuff, just never throws strikes.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 there's not a more annoying pitcher on the entire staff than gibson. and boy that says something
denarded Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Not to pile on Gibson, but this is so typical. Team gives him lead, he nibbles around and lets the opponent back in. I'm done watching him and I loathe watching his starts. Don't know the answer, but Gibson is not it. BTW Morneau keeps getting beter and better in the booth. Never thought that would be a thing for him.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 8 baserunners in 3 IP. No bueno.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Walking on a tightrope - we may need a Home run an inning.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Walking on a tightrope - we may need a Home run an inning.Could be on a unicycle instead of walking...
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I don't agree. I don't think he has very good stuff and that's why he doesn't throw strikes. When he throws a lot of strikes he tends to get lit up.Then how do you explain half of 2017 and all of 2018? Is he doing something different now than he was then? Has the league readjusted? I don’t know. But the Twins better figure it out soon.
lukeduke1980 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 That's twice through the order, time to pull him.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 3-2 after 3. CBU. (Sadly on the same device i must stop watchong to post...)
