The good news of that last out of the 8th is: if we are to win, it probably won't have to come down to Marwin in the 9th.

Turns out that 5th inning for Gibson was indeed pretty important.

And, for all the praise some are giving Littell for his work after that, if he could have done the job right at that moment, we'd have the lead going into the top of the 9th.

Darn... we just gotta get one off Hand in the 9th. Well, hopefully just one.

 

This has the feel of a playoff game - which is great, but as a Minnesota Sports fan I always have to expect a crushing defeat.
