Game Thread: Twins @ Marlins, 7/30, 6:10 CT

[IndianaTwin]

I like these early games on weeknights.

Checking in from EDT, concur.

[tvagle]

Sano like Flatter Swing

[TwinsCD]

The home runs are fun and all but it's RBI doubles like Sano's that I most like to see.

[gil4]

This thread has as many pages as the marlins have fans

I thought those were all Twins fans there.

[IndianaTwin]

It's already 8 something there, right

That's like saying, "I play golf in the 70s. Any colder than that and I stay home."

[Mike Sixel]

That's like saying, "I play golf in the 70s. Any colder than that and I stay home."

Or, "sure, after 15 holes"

Chief, when did you move to Indiana?

I believe our Twins became the first team with 4 guys to hit 30 HR that year.

Dodgers in 1977 -- Garvey, Cey, Baker, Smith.

I wish...

[Squirrel]

The Marlins broadcast team is kind of boring.

[Mill1634]

Arraez with two strikeouts...and like what? 5 in the past week!?!? Scary

[tvagle]

Another 66 pitch AB for Arraez...need a slapper to LF

/edit apparently my streaming is a few pitches behind

[Diesel]

Double strikeout game for Arraez? That’s strange. Great at bat though

[mrtwinsfan]

Sano

Indeed.

[TheRealCupOfJoe]

I think this was the first time I've seen Arraez wiff twice in a game.

[IndianaTwin]

I wish...

Yep, after three-putting No. 12 from 15 feet.

[Brock Beauchamp]

So that Gallen kid can pitch.

[Mill1634]

The Marlins broadcast team is kind of boring.

You'd run out of exciting things to say too if you had to broadcast this Marlins team 100 times already this year

[gil4]

Dodgers in 1977 -- Garvey, Cey, Baker, Smith.

And Puckett fell short at 28.  Maybe they were close to becoming the first AL team to do it.

[Brock Beauchamp]

I think this was the first time I've seen Arraez wiff twice in a game.

He did it once against the Yankees.

That is the only game he struck out twice.

[gil4]

Yep, after three-putting No. 12 from 15 feet.

That sounds like me.

So that Gallen kid can pitch.

Think we can get him in a trade?

[Brock Beauchamp]

A funny little Arraez stat:

This is his 42nd MLB game. He hasn't struck out in 31 of those games.

[FLTwinsGuy]

How many good pitches is jake going to give the bum granderson?

[Brock Beauchamp]

Come on, Mitch.

[Reider]

Granderson bats .182 on the season, but 1.000 vs. the Twins.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Ah, that was a crap hop, now I see why he missed it.

Granderson bats .182 on the season, but .1000 vs. the Twins.

He's worse against the Twins?

[Mill1634]

Indians down 1-0 M5...with Verlander that may be all they need
