Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 I know this probably wouldn't be popular around here, but I would go to May for the 7th. Get him back on the bump. Only way to get confidence back is to go out there and throw.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Just curious...... how is talk about baseball, any baseball, regardless of how much it has been discussed, not appropriate for a game thread, but color of words and talk about shoes, is? There has been lots of talk about baseball, pet topics are for other threads though.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 California team vs. Minnesota team. Berrios vs. Anderson. Just doesn't seem like the matching between pitches and states you'd expect.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Yeah last thread was about ketchup and mustard and hot dogs for 7 pages Door isn't locked.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Boy, the Twins have been grounding into double plays left and right the past few weeks. It's getting real annoying!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 I am watching this through Gamecast yet praying that Baldelli brings in a reliever. Do enough Sunday bake sales and those big screen monitors in the chapel are no longer a luxury.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 That was some excellent discipline by Garver on that 3-0 pitch...Polanco is just off and missing pitches by inches

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Jorge Polanco has a .644 OPS in the last 4 weeks...yikes.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Nice job, Mitch. Now let’s have an inning. Well, technically it WAS an inning...
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Nice job, Mitch. Now let’s have an inning.Best laid plans...
bighat Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Polanco has been very average for about a month now. Okay, we've been looking for a 7th inning stopper. Who's gonna get the job done?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Boy, the Twins have been grounding into double plays left and right the past few weeks. It's getting real annoying! for some reason I haven’t noticed many complaints about lack of contact or too many strike outs
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Boy, the Twins have been grounding into double plays left and right the past few weeks. It's getting real annoying!I beg to differ...some have been up the middle...a couple on Strike em out throw em out...maybe even one that went around the horn
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 That's 5 innings of no-hit baseball from Brett Anderson since the 1st inning... not good, boys. We gotta find a spot to pinch hit Rosario to get us a boost!
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Smalley just referred to Berrios as our Ace. So that’s that. Now, who’s our Duece?

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Who buys tickets to a baseball game to go play cornhole?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 There has been lots of talk about baseball, pet topics are for other threads though. Oh. I can see why talk about cats and such is for other threads....
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Chapman out on one pitch. See, Jose? It’s easy.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Duffey has only pitched 4 innings with no rest. In those 4 innings he has given up half his runs on the season.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 The Francona-ization of Rocco has begun
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Interesting going to Littell here...great boost of confidence in the young righty lately. He's here to stay for the rest of the year I think, or at least Rocco is using him like so. Let's hope he can get the job done. However, this almost confirms Rogers will be used for another 2 out save unless for some reason we decide to go to (gulp) Parker in the 8th.
