Splendid performance by Kyle Gibson. I've seen him pitch better, but not by much. Bert and Dick got their wish - a win in a pitcher's duel.

That was a good game. I much prefer watching this over most of the 12-8 slugfests we've been playing.

I'll take a win no matter how. BTW, time of game 2:21. If this game had taken place in the '50's when there were no long commercial breaks it would have been under 2:00.

It's a good game. I still think Rocco should have saved Rogers for next close game though. After all we have only one Rogers and Gibson has been dominating in this game.

If Gibson isn't allowed to go out for the ninth tonight, Rocco will just never allow anyone to do it no matter how dominant they are and how low their pitch count is.

I really don't see why. It's not like Twins have plenty of dominating relievers in the bullpen.

He did the same thing to Odo in another game. Odo was clearly dominating in that game and had low pitch count like 69 through 5 or 6 innings. And Rocco took him out.

If Gibby is pitching in October tonight's earlyish hook might be a reason why. Over the years I have watched many twins fade in September. Let's see how this new approach pans out.
