Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I don't know... AZ and IN did for the longest time.. Pretty sure they didn't turn into blackholes. How sure? Have you been there lately edit: Guess I should have looked at the thread before replying....I'm getting slow in my old age.

AZ... well, plenty of time connecting through skyharbor and the 30 minutes I spent at the Hoover Dam.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I like the line up that Rocco put out tonight. It'll be even more fun to watch with Cruz in the 3 spot and Garver backing up Sano. I'm predicting Sano goes 1 for 4 with an HR presumably with 3Ks to go with it? He's a modern day Roy Hobbs... either a HR, K... there was that time Hobbs made he headlines doubling off of an intentional walk.

Doomtints Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 For every game the Twins play on the west coast that starts at 7pm (9pm Twins time), the Twins should start a game at 11am Twins time (9am their time) when the team visits Target Field.

terrydactyls Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I always find objections to daylight savings time curious. Without it, the sun would be peaking over the horizon at about 4 AM this time of the year and closer to 3:30 in most of June and July. Is that really what you want? When half of the population was working in agriculture, it didn’t matter. The “business world” runs 7 to 5 and pretty much always has.I'm a Twins fan living in Maine and we are at the far East edge of the Eastern Time zone. Even with DST, the damn sun comes up before 4:00AM. And tonight's game starts at 10:10 our time. Tomorrow morning is going to be painful.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 The Twins are on a West Coast swing, starting in the North, though still south of the Twin Cities, in Seattle, facing the Mariners.Sorry, no, Seattle is north of the Twin Cities.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 If you keep saving up that daylight for years on end, without some kind of relief valve there might eventually be a rip in the space-time continuum. That's a good thing.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I credit the pidgeon hole principle for figuring out who is on first...
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 You don't consider Arizona a black hole? If it was, we'd all be dead.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Bar Harbor, ME, has sunrise at 4:47 AM on June 15. If it weren't for DST it would be at 3:47 AM. That is torture. Maine should consider switching to the Atlantic time zone.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 wow... Texas and Oakland treated Detroit and KC like AAA teams today.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 wow... Texas and Oakland treated Detroit and KC like AAA teams today.Well, that's pretty much what Detroit and KC are.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Cruz out for the third straight game. How long before he is put retroactively on the IL?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 wow... Texas and Oakland treated Detroit and KC like AAA teams today. The Royals blocked a Rangers' extra point and averted a shutout, while the Tigers kicked a field goal.
