I appreciated them.

Think anyone would offer me the role of queen of the night in the magic flute?

I shouldn't sing, so pray no.

You could always go the Milli Vanilli route.

And then bat Kepler 2nd? I think I would do that too.

No, we will see, but I think Kepler is more suited for 6th or 7th.  Lineups are kind of a living organic thing, but to me Kepler doesn't feel like top of the order type of batter.  However, as Cap points out, small sample size and his OBP is about at career ave (after todays two outs).

I haven't been able to keep an eye on Mr. Gibson. How has he looked on the mound?

Now that he's batting .833, I'm just waiting for La Tortuga to steal 2d, 3d, and home on consecutive pitches.

He'll do it on two.  After all, he's not known for his patience.

Agreed, great AB by Garv-sauce, terrible decision by the 3rd base coach.

But, Garver was heads up enough to motor on into third.

Why send Cave there? No reason for that. No outs, don't send him.

I have no problem with the Twins being aggressive there. He wasn't out by a mile, plus Garver made it to 3rd on the throw home. The worst case scenario there was having a man on 3rd with 1 out, which is what we had.

A-Stud got started just a click late...no need to stick so close to 2nd with a ball elevated to center. Right instincts by Cave, he forced them to make a perfect play at home. Smart running by Garver.

Austin just needs to get in some hard cuts, find his eye.

Astudillo and Adrianza playing their way into more ABs, while Austin seems to be solidifying his last spot on the bench. He's the first to go when Sano returns I'm guessing.

BTW, anyone else not feeling too excited about Sano right about now? I'm not sure a .215 hitter who strikes out 30% of the time is going to help this lineup. I guess we'll just wait and see. But the Twins don't look like they need him right now.

Your assuming that Astidillo is getting most of Sano's ABs there?  Gonzalez has not been great by any stretch.

I am excited for Sano to come back.  I need to see what he has.

I'd like to be excited by the return of Sano but I'm worried we've seen exactly what he has.

But we could have had 2nd and 3rd with no outs.  If there's one out I can understand it a bit more, but situationally, the right move was to make Bailey throw more pitches.
