Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Wow, now that's a lineup... with as many singles as Forsythe has hit, it makes sense to have him lead off. But Field as the 6th hitter?! And why is Cave still hitting 9th?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 And why is Cave still hitting 9th?To be on base when LoFor hits a single?
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Put me on the bandwagon that would rather be seeing Wade (or Rooker) get these opportunities than Field. Probably irrational and those guys just aren't ready. I hope the heat and pressure of six(?) minor league seasons have turned Kohl into a diamond in the rough. First there was the FRE. Last night was the THE. What will be next? The Gabriel Moya Operation? The Trevor May Incident? The Tyler Ulysses Reginald Duffey Burger?

mrmpls Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Kohl, being 23 at least he,s not 5 years out of college and 27-28 still got a chance for development, Good luck Kohl!!

twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Stewart with a nice first inning. Interesting he only threw one off-speed pitch in the inning, hopefully we'll see more off-spead stuff as the game goes on.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Well there's your run, Stewey-zee. Bring it home.
AZTwin Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Stewart attacks the hitters. I like it. Trusts his defense behind him
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Kohl Stewart, ground ball machine? I'd take that in a heartbeat.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Stewart reminds me of Gibson from a few years ago. He has good stuff but just isn't able to get swinging strikes.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Nice start by Stewart. Basically facing a good Triple A team though. I'd like to see more offspeed pitches, particularly his slider.
akmanak Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 He is tossing the ball well, but we will see how he handles the deeper innings.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Kohl Stewart, ground ball machine? I'd take that in a heartbeat. It would be great to see Stewart pitch well, but the 2019 rotation looks pretty full on bodies (not top-end talent, mind you), and I really don't see him as a long-term starter, but I'd love to see it happen. Romero, Gonsalves, and Littell are likely all ahead of him as prospects...
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 1st career K. Loving this so far. Hopefully he can keep rolling.

twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Stewart needs to be able to control at least one of his off-speed pitches, so far almost all (of the very few) off-speed offerings haven't even been close.
slash129 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 The shift finally pays off. Stewart looks like the type of pitcher that will benefit from it big time, if he pitches to it effectively. (i.e. don't go down and away to righties with two outs and a man on 3rd)
AZTwin Verified Member Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 What kind of batting stance is that from Rodriguez???
