Can't wait to get Lance Lynn off the books!

I was pumped when the Twins signed Lance Lynn. It's unfortunate to see how utterly useless he has been. Sad. Him putting up numbers consistent with his career numbers could have the Twins a lot closer to contention. I like Lance Lynn, but I can't wait until his roster spot is open.

An hour and 20 minutes for three innings of a 3-1 game?

Oh, wait, Lynn is pitching for the Twins.  Sorry.

And Junis isn't much better.  A combined 150 pitches so far.

Mauer sets double record for Twins.  Very impressive when you consider Mauer has less PAs than Kirby had AND more than twice as many walks. So his 2B/AB ratio is much better.

Then again, Puckett put 60+ more in the seats, so...

Dozier is not doing much in today's game. GIDP, strikeout, strikeout. Whoever lets Dozier hit 3rd in the lineup is creative. It's a creative way to lose games.

Another reason to love Rosie: Cave lost the ball in the lights on the previous play, waves his arms, Kepler swept in for the save. Next play fly ball, Rosie waves his arms like he's lost the ball too, but it's a fake! He almost catches the runner on second drifting too far from the base.

Clever human!

It’s looking like it. Too bad we aren’t the Mariners.

I spoke too soon... about a minute too soon. I like our chances better now!

July 21. End of the Twins (competitive) 2018 season.  Goodbye Dozier, Lynn, Rodney, Escobar (hopefully you come back).  I had high hopes for this season. Nothing seemed to go as planned after Week 3. Bad luck (Santana, Buxton, Castro), bad choices (Sano, Polanco), bad/mediocre seasons (Morrison, Grossman, Dozier, Mauer, Lynn, etc).  I am done watching for awhile. Hopefully there will be some roster churn in the next few weeks to give me something to tune in for.  Blah.

WAAAAY before July 21st. With all due respect to my fellow Twins fans, I think a good chunk were a bit delusional about our chances going into this season. The combination of our record last year (in which our record was better than the talent) and an active offseason (by our standards) made many think this team was way better than it was.  We had much farther to go, didn't take into account our non-established players likely still had some growing to do, and didn't take into account improvements by other teams or how much better the Indians still were.  The Indians are under-performing and will still take this division by 15+ games.  Maybe even 20+.
