Game Thread 7/13: Twins vs. Tampa Bay, 7:10 pm CT

[Nine of twelve]

C'mon, boys, keep the line moving. No reason to let up. Kick 'em while they're down; they'd try to do the same to us.

[adorduan]

This Cave guy is really growing on me..

[yarnivek1972]

Hard to believe this is the same guy with 3 walks in his last 3 starts. He’s not close to hitting his spots.

[Nine of twelve]

KaBOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

[Mill1634]

MAUER POWER!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!

STRAIGHT AWAY CENTER

[BoofBonser]

JOEY STILL HAS IT

[Blake]

Saw that one coming.

[VATwinsFan]

Mauer power!!!

[LaBombo]

Hey, that Mauer guy is still with the team!

[yarnivek1972]

Hey, 7 run lead. Maybe give Pressly a night off?

[Blake]

You know, just as Mauer was settling in, I thought to myself, "It's not winning baseball when the leadoff hitter is making his third plate appearance in the third inning."

[Squirrel]

Geez, he could’ve done that on the first pitch, but nooooooo, he’s gotta let them all go by.

[Blake]

This Cave guy is really growing on me..

Cave schmave. Mauer power, baby!

[twins_89]

Between Buxton's struggles/injuries and Cave's success, I'm starting to think it might be a while before we see Byron again.

[snepp]

Jake Cave is my pick to click tonight

By the way, this is the best lineup the Twins have put on the field all season offensively

We will score more than 5 runs tonight!

Got any lotto numbers for us?

[Blake]

Eddie Rosario makes me swear a lot. More often than not it's in a good way ... but not always.

Yeah, I often shrug and say, "That's Rosario."

What snepp said.

This Kittredge guy reminds me of Joe Blanton.

7.5

I'm all for having both on the team for the foreseeable future. Cave as the 4th OF would be a very nice thing to have.

[Nine of twelve]

Is this really the same team that went 1-8 on their last road trip?

[Blake]

KaBOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

3 inning save opportunity

No, this is Jekyll's team, Hyde's team has the week off.

[Danchat]

Too bad these games only count as one win - boy, does this feel good.

I think it's safe to say Eovaldi's trade value has been dented... it seems like Snell and Eovaldi drank some bad water or something.

[Blake]

7.5

So, 7 dot 5, the dot being the decimal place, decimal being tenths, so, 10.

Okay, we've got 7 10 and 5. What are the rest?

[BoofBonser]

That has to be the unluckiest bounce in Target Field history

[Mill1634]

Not a homer

[yarnivek1972]

Memo to Odorizzi:

At 90 MPH, you aren’t going to “blow it by” any MLB hitter. Maybe don’t pitch there?
