Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 The worst part about this is that you all know darn well Jake is gonna have one blip, and it might be this inning, and he’ll get a loss because of the knobs we have in the lineup. While their pitcher struggles all game.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 If Lamarre is on the forty man still.... And you have Cave and Wade.... And your manager doesn't play Lamarre much, what is Lamarre's purpose?Granite too. These guys have no real future other than backup. Wade might. Also, I thought I pointed out that I was asking about when Buxton was down, not now.How many backup outfielders do they need? I am not a fan of the roster construction. It just isn't balanced the way I'd do it. Which might be all wrong, admittedly. I'll tell you this much... If I was the GM. I'd do everything in my power to not roster Gordon or Wade until next year because of service time. That's what makes the commitment to Adrianaza or the addition of LaMarre so perplexing to me. I have no other choice but to believe that somebody believes that Adrianaza can do the job. If he was rostered strictly as a break glass in case of emergency guy... that would be real bad roster management and it will force the Twins to roster Gordon sooner then they should.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I think a big league hitter swings at that 2-0 fastball Garver let go. When you get yourself a predictable pitch, jump on it.I dunno, Garver crushed that 3-2 pitch. I can't really be mad at him for that.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I dunno, Garver crushed that 3-2 pitch. I can't really be mad at him for that.I'll go back and look, but it looked more like a hump back fliner right to the left fielder to me. In any case, in my baseball world, I want my hitters hacking at 2-0 fastballs on the inner half with runners on.

I disagree, well I did about five games ago, because I'm trying to win this year, not punt another year of Buxton and Sano and Rosario and Dozier and Mauer.... But I admit that the longer the listing continues, the less sure I am. But earlier this year? I'm trying to win now.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I don't think molitor's base running skills have quite rubbed off on this roster yet....
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 That just can’t happen. I mean it can, but it just shouldn’t.
ewen21 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 How is Buxton ever going to improve at the plate if the solution every time he struggles "bunt more" and "hit the ball on the ground"?I hate when I hear that, too
