Announcers think Romero becomes 2nd half closer when Santana comes back. I think that's a mistake.

We have a potential #1/2 starter here and they want to move him to the bullpen? I mean, if he's hitting his inning limits, then maybe, but we need him starting games as long as possible. He'll provide the most value that way.

Good question. when does Erv begin rehab? Romero looks good, but SSS. Also, Lynn looked better last time out. A decision doesn't have to be made for 3 more starts, I believe.

I think you roll with Romero, shake Mr. Hughes hand, give him his gold watch and wish him good luck in his future endeavors.

Now I fully admit that I don't always understand my wife.

I'm sitting on the couch watching the game.

My wife comes in and sets my razor on the end table next to me. She doesn't say a word and then walks away.

Am I correct to assume that she plans on using the razor as a fancy decoration for the end table?

Is it a single blade razor, tell her she missed her chance to get rid of you. It might have worked during the series with the Yanks or Rays...

Great start to Romero's career.

The innings limit thing, or Verducci effect, is bunk. Not that teams act that way....but it is bunk.

I'm guessing he goes around 130 innings as a starter, and then (really depends on the team's playoff picture) he moves to a RP role. But, that's a guess.

If they limit him to 6 innings a start, that's over 20 starts the rest of the way. They could send him to AAA for a couple weeks, and just have him miss a few starts. IF I was going to worry about innings, and they are a playoff contender, that's what I'd do. I'd want him in the playoffs.

If by "hitting his innings limit" you mean 240, then I agree.

Never thought I would hear "Adrianza is intentionally walked."

Also, having no DH is stupid.

Same thoughts here. Isn't it better for the game to have the pitcher hit, so teams can strategically avoid pitching to batters so they can just get the pitchers out easily? Oh wait, no it isn't. It's a bit fun when you have guys like Shoehi Ohtani who can pitch and bat, but in all other cases it's just dumb.

It is possible she was just too tired to go through with it and she went somewhere to gather strength.

Hey, where's North been, eh?

'Dem Jets are only 1 win away from conference finals, eh?

So, like, kind of missed the Canuck perspective this season, eh?

And Ohtani is in the AL, so except for the very few times he pitches in an NL park you have to DH for him because otherwise you lose your DH for the whole game.
