David HK Verified Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Lets go Twins! Going to be a big day for Escobar. Heh... As much as we hate ex-Twinkies coming back to bite us, it's so sweet to have an ex-Sock coming back to bite them. Even Hawk hated to lose him, called him "a good little player."Go Esco!

David HK Verified Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Got no problems with the White Sox. Used to wear them all the time in high school. The Yankees now, that's a whole 'nother story. The arm on my Detest-o-Meter goes right through the Bete Noire reading when anyone within 40 feet even mentions the Yankees under their breath. I especially despised and detested the media's fascination with Derek Jeter. No matter if the Damn Yankees were winning or losing any time somebody in the stadium farted six cameras would scope out Jeter so we could witness his reaction. JFC!Ditto on the Yankee loathing. The other Sox (Red ones) are just a half-tick below the Yanks on my hate-meter- and they play each other 19 times a year. It almost makes me hate baseball itself, since only 1 team can lose each game. I rationalize it, though, by 'rooting' for the away team. That way, at least the ultra-entitled home fans in Fenway or the Bronx can go home with an outrageously-expensive-beer-hangover having watched their team get stuffed in their own park. Riverbrian 1

The dude ain’t fast but should he have scored on that double? I don't think it was. It was a high fly ball that hit mid way up the RF Fence. Garcia was back by the wall so it would have been tough to tell if it would have been caught. Sano... That was a Gaffe with a capital G. Nine of twelve and Borealis 2

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Mauer had to hold between first and second in case the ball was caught, and it was close. It was off the wall, the RFer turned his back to the IF because he wasn't going to catch it, and the ball got past him on the ricochet off the wall. Mauer has to score there. On the gb dp, you'd have to know if the contact play was on to know who made the blunder bighat and Hosken Bombo Disco 2

The ball was in the air for a year, and hit the top of the wall - the outfielder played a little deke move, but Joe shoulda scored. He had time and it was a deep shot. USAFChief 1

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 (edited) Lol was it? I thought it hit way up high on the wall. amjgt Verified Member Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Joe playing it to score on that flyball double by Sano would’ve been pretty risky. A few feet shorter and that would’ve been caught Nine of twelve and Platoon 2

I just rewound and watched it. It hit 15 ft up on the wall, off the "M" in U of M appreciation night. By then the RFer had turned his back to the IF, the signal to a baserunner to take off. Mauer should score on that.' Aggies7 and Blake 2
