And in Chicago in April, I've been to games in shorts, and in full winter gear. The only advice I give to anyone wanting to attend games at Guaranteed Rate Field in April is to get seats in left field ... where the sun shines.

Nobody WANTS to attend a game at The Monument To Cement. Ever. In any part of the stadium. We just make the sacrifice and tolerate the setting in order to see the Twins.

But if one is going to do so, your advice is good. And whatever you do, don’t get upper deck seats unless you have taken rappelling lessons.

Although club level seats are nice. And I’d much rather go to Monument To Cement to see a game than the broken down shambles some refer to as a baseball shrine, but I simply call Wrigley.

Coldest Twins game played in Minnesota in History.

Coldest game in MLB history was April 23, 2013, Braves @ Rockies.

Haha!

Ribs are on the grill here.

70, cloudy with a bit of rain.

Unlike you northern people.

Oh, and a friend of mine sent me this picture of how spring is going in MN:

Nice to know...

Had to look it up. Figured if this were the coldest in MLB history, they’d be saying that. Since they weren’t, I wondered.

Mauer normally makes that play. Yes, it's a Sano error, but Mauer still usually saves the IF with a quality play.

Way too cold to be playing baseball.  What did they say 12 degrees wind chill?

It's about 72 degrees in my living room.

I don't mind them playing at all.

He isn't going to be transitioned to DH. No chance. He is 24 years old. No reason to cut his game, and value in half, at that age.

I think he could manage playing 1B if 3B doesn't work out for him. I imagine he'll try 1B before moving to DH full time.

I think we're starting to see why Morrison was available at such a discount.

Morrison has had a cold start but there are much more renowned hitters struggling.  Jose Ramirez has two hits on the season. Paul Goldschmidt has two hits as well. I'm sure they will be fine and Morrison will rebound as well.

Ugh. I thought Berrios was going to be dynamite today, but once that first hit happened, the gates have opened up and 5 runs have already come in.

Way too soon to for that kind of talk

At least give him another week

I'm blaming Molitor for this one. Shouldn't have changed catchers on Berrios. :)

For all those who want to see Kinley pitch for the first time, there's a good chance it'll happen today unless the Twins rally in the next couple innings.

No one wants to see kinley pitch...

There's been plenty of people here the past few game threads wondering when Kinley's going to pitch. Maybe they don't "want" to see him but they want to see why he deserves a roster spot.

Kind of a tough luck day that reminds one of the fickle nature of baseball. Bleeders and doinks fall while rockets get caught.
