jimmer Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Coldest Twins game played in Minnesota in History.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 This defense is really annoying. Twins should have 3 or 4 runs if they weren't making these plays.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 And in Chicago in April, I've been to games in shorts, and in full winter gear. The only advice I give to anyone wanting to attend games at Guaranteed Rate Field in April is to get seats in left field ... where the sun shines.Nobody WANTS to attend a game at The Monument To Cement. Ever. In any part of the stadium. We just make the sacrifice and tolerate the setting in order to see the Twins. But if one is going to do so, your advice is good. And whatever you do, don’t get upper deck seats unless you have taken rappelling lessons.Although club level seats are nice. And I’d much rather go to Monument To Cement to see a game than the broken down shambles some refer to as a baseball shrine, but I simply call Wrigley.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Coldest Twins game played in Minnesota in History.Coldest game in MLB history was April 23, 2013, Braves @ Rockies.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Haha! Ribs are on the grill here. 70, cloudy with a bit of rain. Unlike you northern people. Oh, and a friend of mine sent me this picture of how spring is going in MN:
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Coldest game in MLB history was April 23, 2013, Braves @ Rockies.Nice to know...
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Sano needs to just hold onto that ball
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Nice to know...Had to look it up. Figured if this were the coldest in MLB history, they’d be saying that. Since they weren’t, I wondered.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Mauer normally makes that play. Yes, it's a Sano error, but Mauer still usually saves the IF with a quality play.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Way too cold to be playing baseball. What did they say 12 degrees wind chill? It's about 72 degrees in my living room. I don't mind them playing at all.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 You shouldn't give up a run after two singles...
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Eddie... first pitch swinging after a walk... Rosario
Mauerpower Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I know from experience that cold weather effects speed. Both of sano’s errors have been in cold weather.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 He isn't going to be transitioned to DH. No chance. He is 24 years old. No reason to cut his game, and value in half, at that age. I think he could manage playing 1B if 3B doesn't work out for him. I imagine he'll try 1B before moving to DH full time.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Morrison has been a huge disappointment in this young season.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Anyone got numbers on the Twins BABIP today?
bighat Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I think we're starting to see why Morrison was available at such a discount.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Anyone got numbers on the Twins BABIP today?I think it's 1 for 9 as there's been 12 outs, 3 by strikeouts.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Morrison has had a cold start but there are much more renowned hitters struggling. Jose Ramirez has two hits on the season. Paul Goldschmidt has two hits as well. I'm sure they will be fine and Morrison will rebound as well.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Welp. Mariners not hitting the ball hard at all, and they have 5 runs. Twins crushing the ball and can't buy a hit
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Yeah, I blame all the guys on Twitter raving over Berrios' first trip through the lineup for this one
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Ugh. I thought Berrios was going to be dynamite today, but once that first hit happened, the gates have opened up and 5 runs have already come in.
ewen21 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I think we're starting to see why Morrison was available at such a discount.Way too soon to for that kind of talk At least give him another week
Blake Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Ugh. I thought Berrios was going to be dynamite today, but once that first hit happened, the gates have opened up and 5 runs have already come in.I'm blaming Molitor for this one. Shouldn't have changed catchers on Berrios.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 For all those who want to see Kinley pitch for the first time, there's a good chance it'll happen today unless the Twins rally in the next couple innings.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 For all those who want to see Kinley pitch for the first time, there's a good chance it'll happen today unless the Twins rally in the next couple innings. No one wants to see kinley pitch...
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 No one wants to see kinley pitch...There's been plenty of people here the past few game threads wondering when Kinley's going to pitch. Maybe they don't "want" to see him but they want to see why he deserves a roster spot.
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Kind of a tough luck day that reminds one of the fickle nature of baseball. Bleeders and doinks fall while rockets get caught.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 No one wants to see kinley pitch...I do
