In the winter, the Dodgers decided that Logan Forsythe was an effective substitute for Brian Dozier at 2B. 

 

Dozier coming into today: .267 BA, 34 HR, 93 RBI (mostly as lead-off batter), .847 OPS

Forsythe: .227 BA, 6 HR, 36 RBI, .685 OPS.

 

I know which one I'd prefer in my lineup.

Kudos to the producers for this little trolling of what the Tigers did yesterday.  I will definitely be paying attention when she steps into the control room.  Let's see how the talent does when they get to step into OUR world.

man, just got done following the Vikings game. looks like another season lost for a "future" star of the offense. it's hard to comprehend how these things continue to happen to that franchise.

Yep, it's probably gonna be yet another lost season for them. 

 

I don't want to be Debbie Downer, but I'm expecting the Twins to do some similar things to the Yankees. I've love to think "maybe this is the year!" but as a Minnesota sports fan I have to expect the worst.

Did Richard really just say that the Twins winning a 1-game play-in game is just as big as the '87 ALCS?

Maybe getting past the Yankees in 17 is similar to getting past the Tigers in 87?

Wow, Twins broadcasting does some truly stupid things.  Spending the whole game talking about Gladden being a ballboy before and now the whole thing is about Marney doing 9 different jobs today.

Not sure.

I think that's what he was trying to say, but in reality one sent a team to the World Series and this is pretty much game 163 with a fancier logo.
