Danchat Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 It's good to see Santana rebounding after a poor first two innings. Looks like he can get through at least 6 innings so far. spinowner and USAFChief 2
Blake Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Yeah, I wanted to see the replay of the Buxton home run too.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I think it's close to time to flip Buxton and Dozier in the batting order.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I think it's close to time to flip Buxton and Dozier in the batting order.I'd leave Buxton right where he's thriving. twinsnorth49, mickeymental and wabene 3
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 FWIW, Chris Gimenez is about 60 innings shy of his MLB career high. That's only 7 more starts. Jason Castro needs about 250 to establish a career high. That likely won't happen. He is about 170 innings away from his second highest total. That he should get easily. I guess the relevance is that both of these guys are playing considerably more than they are used to. So, it really isn't surprising that their offense has been non-existent the last month or so. Not that it was substantial before that. Neither has homered in two months.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 And it didn't look like he even turned it on until halfway between first and second. Lollygagger. Blake, Dozier's Glorious Hair and USAFChief 3
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 What the F was that? Come on that's pathetic
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Perhaps a poor decision by the third base coach.
S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Did Gene Glynn wave Sano around or did Sano blow through a stop sign? Glynn should be fired if he sent Sano. Aggies7 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 What, never? (Give three cheers and one cheer more...)Gilbert & Sullivan, George Bernard Shaw, and Tom Swifties, all in one thread.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Glynn must have thought Buxton was running? That wasn't the greatest effort, but Sano had no chance IMO. ashbury 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I guess Sano is not quite as fast as Buxton. ashbury 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 OK, what happened at third base to result in something that bad? Glynn really waved Sano home?
Darius Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Interesting baserunning play there. On the bright side, Roasario is turning into a hitting machine. spinowner and adorduan 2

S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Wow. Glynn was waving him around. You gotta be kidding me.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 OK, what happened at third base to result in something that bad? Glynn really waved Sano home?According to the Dbacks b'cast, Glynn waived him home.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Glynn must have thought Buxton was running? That wasn't the greatest effort, but Sano had no chance IMO.I think Sano was taken by surprise that Glynn was waving him. And with good reason.
S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 According to the Dbacks b'cast, Glynn waived him home.Yeah, they just showed the replay. He was waving him around and Sano slowed down probably because he was thinking, "what the **** is he doing waving me around?" Buxton would've been out at the plate if he crossed third at the same time as Sano did. There is 0 excuse for sending anyone in that situation, let alone Sano. Blake and spinowner 2
