Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Sano may or may not have been going top speed. But he was out by 30-40 feet. That's at least 5 seconds at his speed. He had no chance to score barring a poor throw. And Polanco was due up. He's the hottest Twins hitter not named Eddie right now.It was a terrible decision. Not much more discussion needed. spinowner 1
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 The last time a player hit for the cycle with an ITPHR was in 7/3/1943, Leon Culberson (Red Sox). I think Chief's grandson was at that game. ashbury, Blake, IndianaTwin and 1 other 4
Guest Guests Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Buxton loafs it into second. Fine him! It's OK. He can score from second on a squeeze.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Flipping between this game and Seahawks/Vikings preseason. Wild Friday night

Guest Guests Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Polanco looks like he's recovered from his doldrums.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Problem with Buxton getting a cycle is, he might have to stop at first when he'd normally go to second. It's okay to stop at first if the ball doesn't leave the infield... Nice stolen base by Polanco, by the way. jimbo92107 and spinowner 2
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 It's OK. He can score from second on a squeeze.I had no quarrel with how he took third base. But then that lack of hustle going home. Luckily he touched the plate in time.

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Tonight is exactly why Santana needs to be a Twin in '18. Starts out the night without his best stuff, uses up a lot of pitches early, gives up a couple runs and a cheap homer, then finishes 6 innings with no more damage. Professional pitcher. This! 100%
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Gardy looks like he's lost weight.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Blair walsh is now on the Seahawks? Talk about irony!

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Unless he's carl Lewis, I don't think that one step mattered Sano's "misstep" was him realizing that he had no chance. I'm pretty sure he was thinking, "Oh shucks" in Spanish. spinowner 1
