Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Calling a 3-run homerun here for RosarioThe number you are trying to reach..
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Tampa leading Boston again...looks like we'll finish the traditional first half outside of the playoff picture. Not that it matters.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Rats. We're down by two one five. I give up.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 I can only assume that when calls are reversed that MLB makes note of what umpire made an incorrect call. That has to be part of their evaluation, not?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 I know this team doesn't give up which is a lovely trait but it is extremely difficult to watch this team with the state of the pitching staff as a whole. 3/5 of the rotation is garbage and despite featuring an all-star, I don't trust one member of the bullpen.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Nick Gordon up on MLB Network. Worked a 3-1 count then grounded out to second.

Too many horrendous signings have gone on for too long. Although I still argue PM dropped the ball by leaving KG in when it was obvious he should have been yanked after the second inning.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Houston 19, Toronto 0...top 9 We got next!
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 At least Game of Thrones will be coming back a week from today. Maybe the Twins can trade for one of those dragons.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 That's two the first base umpire has missed in the last half hour.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 I'm sorry. He was safe. It was a great effort by Sano, but Vargas' foot was clearly off the bag on the replay.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Dick explaining the role of GM during the trade deadline is priceless.": "Go get Gerrit Cole. Well, would you give up Sano?" No team, contending or otherwise, would make that trade outside of Pittsburgh. Get real, Dick.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Hmm, second time Orioles have seen Hildenberger. And he probably is a little gassed from Friday yet. Probably not a good combination at this stage in his career.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Polanco: 3 for his last 31 OPS below .600 now, how long do they stick with him?
mickeymental Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 stick a fork in granite and his .200 ops?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 OPS below .600 now, how long do they stick with him? It could very easily be a case of a guy playing his first full season at the MLB level as a shortstop and having fatigue starting to set in. He's not striking out a lot. Indeed, his K rate is better than it was last year. His BABIP is .250, which is very low. That suggests some bad luck at play as well. I'd be more concerned if he looked overmatched at the plate. That clearly isn't the case. My biggest concern is that he hasn't seperated his offensive struggles from his defense. He's been kinda shaky the last week or so.
