Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Boy, Dickbert is really giving it to Gibson tonight. I'm kind of into it.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 http://imoviequotes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/404-Uncle-Buck-quotes.gif I like Johnny Depp in most of his movies. Ok, all of them. Except one.Heh, I loved his uncredited role in the movie '21 Jump Street.' It kind of aged me when I was one of the only ones in the theatre laughing at that reveal with Depp and Peter DeLuise.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 You obviously don't know your classics. Check the titles on each of those respective movies then get back to me. I don't even recognize the latter as being worthy of similar subject matter let alone a classic regardless of what it's actually called.

snepp Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Final line prediction for Kyle: 7 IP, 15 H, 8 ER, 1 BB, 5 K. And a "win"!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I don't even recognize the latter as being worthy of similar subject matter let alone a classic regardless of what it's actually called.Oh sigh ... the joke is lost on you ... woe is me! Heh. It was clear which I was watching from the title as the Depp movie was titled 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' Only the Wilder classic has the title I gave earlier. And yes, I know, I'm behaving like a Wonka snob.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Gibson is still just one start away from causing some fans to be subjected to the seldom-invoked 26 beer rule. The game does have a slow-pitch softball feel to it. Joe Mauer owes two cases for tomorrow's game, plus he has to wear the pink jersey.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Ah, and Violet is just now being rolled down to the juicing room for squeezing.

Gene Wilder could make watching paint dry amusing.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Question: are we sticking with Gibby here at least until Hughes gets back? Yes, and in other news, I'm going to be driving a courtesy Pinto http://www.soccerblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Ford-Pinto1.jpg until they finish some bodywork on my Corvair. http://i.imgur.com/KykElmJ.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Gibson has to be frustrating to everyone not just Gibby himself. Molitor is trying to give him a major league job and Gibson keeps not taking the offer. I assume Molitor is an advocate for Gibson and when you go against the grain while advocating... poor performance is going to cause a stronger reaction to it. Bottom Line: It will be much harder to go back to the table and say... "I think Gibson is coming around". Gibson is slipping out of the majors before our eyes.

Very different movie and just not in the same category as the Wilder movie.

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Motter up, Motter down. Gamel up, Gamel down. Party on, Wayne, party on, Garth.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Sano is probably beside himself on the bench right now.Split personality?
David HK Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 All I got over here is gameday-- but Lordy, Gibby is out there in the sixth-- at least he took care of Soundgarden. This is excruciating. A 6 run lead should feel better than this.

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Yes, and in other news, I'm going to be driving a courtesy Pinto until they finish some bodywork on my Corvair. This rotation is Unsafe At Any Speed. Which, too often, is under 90 MPH.

Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 What's a Motter?Well, it's not quite a mop, and it's not quite an otter, but oh, man...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 And there goes the bad egg ...
Blake Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 About that Gibson/Molitor meeting. Your humble scribe had his trusty microphones well planted for this game and, without much further ado, will present a transcript of the conversation: Gibson: WTF? Molitors on the way to the mound? Crap. Did I shave? Underarm deodorant still deodorizing? No..this can't be... Molitor: Just what the blankety blank are you doing junior? (please note, Molitor has to look way up to look Gibson in the eye) Gibby, you either stop screwing around or I'm gonna kick you so hard, you'll wind up in AA ball. Got it? Oh, and another things, ever heard of a toothbrush? Yeesh, kid, floss and brush. Your breath would knock down a bull at 70 paces! Gibson: Uh, okay, sure, skipper. Do you recommend Gleam, Crest, Colgate or Pearl Drops? Molitor: Say what? That was an aside, youngster! Get your act together or get your bags packed, your choice!! Gibson: Mumbles..I think I'll go with Crest....
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Absolutely love Molitor and chewing Gibson's backside. Deserved. Needed. Maybe one of the best moves Molitor has ever made. It's still a crappy performance by Gibson, but he suddenly has the look if a real life, grown up ML pitcher after that little "pep talk".

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Let the man finish the inning Molitor!
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Gibby needs to toss a Lawrence Welk inning: Annuh one, annuh two, annau tree... And as soon as I type that he's yanked. Sigh.
