sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Is that bad?Maybe. But not to the bone.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Now that was an impressive first inning!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I'm reminded of the Apollo era at NASA. Alan Shepard was working in the astronaut office, semi-responsible for assigning crews to missions. He had days when he was in good moods. And days when he was not. The office secretary began to hang pictures up to indicate Al's mood of the day. We need that for Kyle. Maybe one picture of him with his head down, passing the ball to Molitor. Maybe one with him watching a HR fly out. And one with him getting handshakes in the dugout. Of course, how we figure out what picture to use (and which pitcher has shown up) is the trick.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 He's off to a good start! Never mind!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Getting the impression Gibson has abandoned that whole "pitch inside and mix 'em up" idea. Gosh, this team sure could use a young ace from the draft. Any candidates? Excuse me, I'll clean up that puddle of sarcasm.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This might be the real skid that crashes us back to earth for good. Ten game homestand.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 The Saturday double header insures that Gibson's next start is secure. After Sunday though, I suspect he will be released for good.
Jax Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Um Can we just play every game on the road please...
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Don't look to the bullpen Kyle. You're out there for a minimum of 5. Suck it up buttercup.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Only 24 pitches for king Kyle. Sacrificial lamb, don't care how bad it gets.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 When is batting practice over and the game starts?
Jax Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 First free night I have in a while and I have to watch this. Damn!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Just simply a horrible decision by Rosario there.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This time I leave to let the dog out and another run scores...I need to quit leaving the room I guess.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 When is batting practice over and the game starts?Funny, I'm asking the exact opposite.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 First free night I have in a while and I have to watch this. Damn!Lucky me, I'm headed out to play tennis for a couple hours. I'll survey the damage later. Call me if FEMA is required. I may need another bar towel for that puddle of sarcasm...
bighat Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Disappointment seems to be the theme of the day around Twins Daily. Gibson seems to be hammering that theme home here early on. Geez, the Twins are just BAD at home. Really depressing to turn on the game and feel it's already out of reach.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 This time I leave to let the dog out and another run scores...I need to quit leaving the room I guess.Yeah, I left the room too and am now wondering if it's going to be an early night. This is ridiculous. The Twins are making the Mariners look like Houston.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I get chills in a bad way when I see teams playing dress up as a form of bonding.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Neil Allen: Dang Kyle, that almost hit you. That's a hint.Gibson: I have no idea what you mean. Bartender, one more towel, please.
Jax Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Maybe it's just me but I hate when Sano is not playing. It's so fun waiting for his at bats.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 The only way we're winning is if we score 8 + runs. That's not happening.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Maybe it's just me but I hate when Sano is not playing. It's so fun waiting for his at bats.I prefer watching his at bats over waiting for them myself. To each his own.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Maybe it's just me but I hate when Sano is not playing. It's so fun waiting for his at bats.I don't feel like going to the beginning of the thread. Is there some reason he isn't playing?
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Like I was saying... My brother-in-law, the robot guy... no, he's not a guy robot. He's a guy that builds robots. Anyway, he's pretty anal when it comes to planning stuff, I suppose if you want your robots to work right you have to be anal... the robot guy, not the robots. So he decides to blow insulation into the side walls of his 1950's era house as a do-it-yourself project. So he's outside blowing insulation into the walls, my sister dumping bag after bag of insulation into the hopper when it occurs to him he'd calculated he'd only need three bags to fill each 16" cavity. But my sister has six empty bags laying at her feet and just dumped in a 7th. So the anal robot guy gets down off the ladder, walks around to the front door of the house, walks in to the living room and sees six bags of insulation blown across the room. Apparently he'd neglected to take into consideration the interior wall plaster was cracked and ready to implode. Kind of reminds me of the Twins. We collected a lot of numbers, did a lot of calculating and "improved" the team by drafting a high school shortstop, forgetting the pitching staff is cracked and ready to implode. For some reason Gibby made me think of that.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Maybe it's just me but I hate when Sano is not playing. It's so fun waiting for his at bats.Strikeout fetish, huh?
