Why not start Rosario to provide the best possible defense behind Berrios? It makes zero sense to want him to clean some stuff up and then ask him to make his debut with one of the worst OF in baseball covering LF. Seems like you would want to stack the deck to try for a successful start. Is Paul thinking about this at all?

Also if you have Grossman on the bench you have a another switch hitter on the bench to pinch hit if necessary later in the game. Although I suppose Escobar is a bigger home run threat.
