This was your 1001st post.  Sorry.  You probably got sucked into that Wilks thread.  Like a moth to the flame, it was hard to not have a strong opinion about that transaction.

I was patiently waiting for the game thread so I could complain about Mauer starting over Vargas.

Vargas has hit lefties well in his career, while Mauer has not done much lately against them. So Mauer should be grabbing some bench.

I don't know, just out of words.  It has become so rare when he presents a lineup that doesn't invoke at least 1 or 2 WTF's. 

 

One of my favorite all time players, but this managing gig-- sheesh.  Taking a broom to the dugout should have been job 1 for Falvine.

Anyone think it is possible that the Twins are playing Escobar to "shop" him like Nunez last year? It seems ridiculous to have two reserve infielders and really no back up for the OF who is a decent fielder.

Why why why is Vargas out of the lineup?

Guy has mashed taters in his last 2 games, obviously seeing the ball a little bit-  Guy needs to keep getting Mlb at bats to keep improving for the future "contending" teams we maybe maybe maybe will have--- but let's go ahead and sit him down in favor of a guy who doesn't hit lefties a'tall.
