Seriously, is any pitcher having a worse week or two than Matt Barnes? First he throws at Manny and gets suspended and now he gives up the baseball equivalent of a rainbow unicorn. Looks like Pawtucket is getting a new arm pretty soon.

I am glad the twins won, but more than that very very happy for Joe. I can't recall ever seeing him that excited or grinning that much. Go Joe!

You could hear his joy in the radio interview, just now   :)

I don't know. Walk-off HR to the most unlikely culprit and a suspension might top expected demotion.

How many muscles do you think he pulled smiling like that? Emotions have to be a shock to his system.

Who knows, I'll go with: if Joe is smiling...so is the rest of the Twins team...big all around win tonight.

Glad I didn't stay out any later with my friends and got on here to enjoy this win, my my poster friends here     ;)

Be more greedy. Get your broom ready.

Oh, I'm very greedy.  But I also know that Tepesch has the potential for a Grade I Hazmat situation tomorrow.

So I read through the game thread, found out what happened...although the reaction was fairly muted...and then went to MLB.com to watch Joe's AB.

I was shocked, shocked I tell you, to see that Joe hit his walk-off homer one a two-strike pitch the opposite way.

What was actually surprising was the fact that he swung at an eye-high fastball. How many times do you think Joe has done that in 14 years? It was a Dozier / Rosario stroke of genius.

Apparently (at the behest of Daniel Murphy) Ryan Zimmerman has changed his swing path to increase his launch angle this year and his consistently hard hit balls are now consistently traveling further. Player analytics in the statcast era.

Joe needs to look at what Zimmerman is doing this year.

Great win. Let's pour some more mezcal on that fire this afternoon!

I can't eat donuts these days.  Ladyfriend and I are hitting the beaches of Costa Rica in a month and she's determined we look trim and toned.  This means NO SUGAR and daily trips to the gym.  If I'm lucky I can sneak a graham cracker every once in a while.

Took this photo out the window today.  Lot of activity today, even got to see lava this morning before the sun came out.

Be careful. If your lady friend is a virgin, the locals may toss her in.
