Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Hey, Dinger ... is DiscGolfer there with you drinking?
70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I should have the Spanish broadcast going on in the background and pretend Dinger is translating I put on the Spanish broadcast for a larf, and for the life of me I can't understand the color guy. Is that Tony Oliva?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 This is kind of interesting because Dinger's feed is just a couple seconds ahead of mine, so, listening to him call out the plays, it's like I'm listening to one amazing psychic. And I should know a good psychic, because as we established the other day, I'm not one.

nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Not the world's biggest Tori Hunter fan by any means, but man is he so much less annoying to listen to than Bert. He's even genuinely funny at times.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I hope that is a hit.Thank God. An error has been called!
70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It's gonna be a long season if they can't start getting guys in from third base with fewer than 2 outs. It's starting to get really frustrating. How many men have the Twins left on base so far this year? Is any other team close?
70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Right now Molitor is using the bullpen phone to call upstairs to get Derek and Thad to give DanSan a Trout-like extension ... can't risk that arm walking away. Molitor shuffles, kicks the dirt, and mutters something about a "fluke."
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Well this is starting to spiral quickly...

It's starting to get really frustrating. How many men have the Twins left on base so far this year? Is any other team close? I'm answering my own question. Out of 30 MLB teams, the Twins are tied for 27th worst in left on base. Not surprising. Ready for the surprise? The only teams worse than the Twins are the Red Sox, the Dodgers, and the Cubs. Whaaaat!?

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Why is he even on the roster?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Gibson is a chump. Only got 5 outs that inning.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It seems like Gibson's solid spring training was so long ago...
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 My thoughts on the shin-high pitch Gibson threw to Avila: "So many pitchers have been down in the zone that hitters have started to adjust over time. It’s a product of being down there so long that hitters have made the adjustment… [Mike] Trout will hit balls that are shin-high 450 feet like it’s nothing,” Odorizzi said. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/tampa-bays-cult-of-the-high-fastball/

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Our beloved Twins are back. They never left. They were simply lurking beneath the surface. Like herpes.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 2nd Inning Santana with an easy drop Sano complete misplay of an easy grounder Barely turning a tailor made Double Play. I wonder if Gibson will be buying his linemen Gold Rolex Watches for the incredible support.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 My money is on that tee getting a strikeout

It wasn't a bad pitch... It hit the inside corner. I just wonder why he went inside with a runner on 2nd.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Gibson: also great at holding runners!
Jham Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I love how Kinsler likes to lecture countries where baseball is thriving about playing the game the right way, then tries to cheat his way on base by pretending he's hit by a pitch that bounces in the dirt. In all fairness, he showed very little emotion as he faked pain and limped towards first...
