Game Thread Twins vs Tigers, 09/14, 6:10pm, Comerica Park

[70charger]

Congratulations, Dozier. It keeps getting more and more impressive.

[70charger]

So Dick mentioned that FSN isn't televising tomorrow. Any word on whether it's on TV anywhere?

[twinssporto]

Is there a record for shortest/smallest Game Thread on TD?

I know this might be the worst Twins team in franchise history, almost at 100 losses, it's Wednesday night, our DH is suspect, somebody named Schafer playing LF, people have cable, Netflix...I can't believe nobody else is on here.  Maybe I need help...

[SwainZag]

Tigers announcers can't believe the quality of pitches that hitters get these days, in their day throwing pitches like that to a guy like Dozier would result in a fine.

[Craig Arko]

Tougher second trip through the order.

He's a poweful god in my book.

Vargas looking pretty good these days. I'm thinking going into next season, you pencil Vargas into DH, Sano into 3B (Plouffe onto another team), and Park into AAA.

Could change, obviously, but that's where I'd lean.

[LaBombo]

Suzuki goes deep 10 seconds after I get the TV on.  Now you know who to blame when the 3/18 extension is announced.

To his credit it was a no-doubter, with audible Detroit fan 'ooooh' on it as it came off the bat.

There were some real good ones late in 2012, on the way to 'just' 96 losses, that struggled to break double digit replies.

Yes.

[snepp]

And what just happened, up by 3?

[USAFChief]

It should be noted...I show up, five run inning in the books.

Sure I'd listen if Dave St Peter called.

2016

Fixed and completed.

They'll have a whole month off between the end of the season and the election, so I don't see a problem.

I've been leaning this same direction hard.

And then Molitor pulled him away.

Here's a Video of me leaning toward Vargas.

We've had some Saturday Afternoon games where I was basically replying to myself.

Down 2 after 2. We've hit Anibal hard before. Get'r done.

Got done.

(of course it's now coming undone again but whatever)

[USAFChief]

DSP:  "Chief, if hired, what would be your first action as PBO?"

Chief:  "Tell the pitchers to Stop giving up so many GD runs."

[LaBombo]

And what just happened, up by 3?

Nice work, Jinxy.

A triple to put us up by 1.

Enhanced that for you.

[Platoon]

When your DH hits 7th and his name is Robbie Grossman, it's not a good omen.

Unless of course.....

Did not Rob hit 3 last night? Had a pretty big night? And now is in the 7 hole? It's time! FREE ROBBIE NOW

[Danchat]

I knew the Tigers would come back, I just didn't think it'd be so soon...

[USAFChief]

You cannot be a starter in the major leagues featuring a curve ball as your primary weapon.

Can't be done.

[LaBombo]

A triple to put us up by 1.

, and then a Detroit pair to tie it.

I think that last pitch was about half a cm off the exact middle of the plate.

Hopefully that doesn't happen this Saturday. It's the season finale for me writing game threads!
