LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 RBI Doubles from Dozier are kinda boring now. It's almost like he's not even trying for fifty or something. Sheesh.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 RBI Doubles from Dozier are kinda boring now. except when you get to watch Buxton fly around the bases.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Worrying about letting down game thread Twins fans this season is like worrying if starving life raft survivors will be upset that the ribeyes aren't grass fed beef.Whoever has survived at this point in the season deserves 110% effort for game thread intros! There's a couple of ideas in the works as we speak... A clue: Your wish is granted.....
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Polanco batting... Dick: "THREE and two..." Bert: "Good take by Polanco." //me, to self: "Huh, Dick didn't say 'X on deck.'" Dick: "Kepler on deck"
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 It's kind of like working as a sole proprietor and scheduling meetings with yourself. At least you won't have to worry about getting stiffed on the birthday cake. http://atomictoasters.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/The-Cake-Is-A-Lie.jpg
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Is Maybin just screwing with the Tigers dugout on like every flyball ?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 except when you get to watch Buxton fly around the bases. Only on the replay. On the live shot he's usually jogging across the plate by the time they switch away from the CF batter cam.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Maybe Duffey is the worst pitcher ever, but I just can't blame any of the pitchers anymore for anything. None of them. Maybe Centeno calls better games within the pitch to contact framework we still live by. I don't know.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 except when you get to watch Buxton fly around the bases.Looked a bit like a Gazelle running too fast to escape the oncoming Lions.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Looked a bit like a Gazelle running too fast to escape the oncoming Lions. For a moment there, I thought he might fall down right after rounding 3rd :-)
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 So here I am, innocently flipping through the channels, and I see it... You're not fooling me, North. Isn't it convenient North chose today of all days to write a game thread?? Maybe he saw into the future, and knew the Twins would have a lead at one point in the game.... OR, maybe he needed anything to distract him from the World Cup of Hockey! Feelimg nervous about the Russians yet?Russians? Not since about '87.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 except when you get to watch Buxton fly around the bases. "Flying" suggests that he missed the bases being airborne and everything. "Around the Bases" Also suggests that he missed the bases as well by going around them.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Watching catchers set up outside on Dozier, and watching one pitcher after another miss it I the inside makes me think it's almost getting into their head. You get it inside in this guy, and he's gonna kill it. Just have to keep it outside,, ,,,,,,,aw bleep!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 The "Fan of the Game" was reading the game thread on his phone.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I'm in no matter what. Anything to get rid of the taste of this season. Exactly what I say after watching our pitching staff pitch. "Can I have a Milkshake or something"?
Reider Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Fox track says Chargois is throwing the ball so hard, the umpire can't see it cross the plate.

70charger Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Chargois looking pretty good, I have to say. I still think he's got a great future ahead of him at the back of the bullpen.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 If Shagwahhh eventually slots in as an 8th inning guy, the Twins will be sort of obligated to find a closer named Scoobay or the like. At least a pitcher okay with that as his nickname.
