Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Damn ... I'm going to have to pay for this ... The first episode was so good!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 If I watch it, I'll want to subscribe....I hate watching one episode at a time so the draw to subscribe is pretty weak for me. All I now know is that I *will* watch it, just in a month or two.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Has anyone seen Awkwafina is Nora from Brooklyn? It’s new, and there are only 2 episodes so far, but I think it’s funny.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 I am somewhat bitter about Picard being on CBS Access. I have three streaming services already (Hulu, Amazon, Netflix), and don't want to add another one, but would love to watch Picard and I heard the second season of Star Trek Discovery was pretty good. Maybe if I dropped Hulu or Netflix, but I was already thinking of doing that if I decided to get Disney Plus. Sadly, I don't think the trend of each studio or network wanting their content on their own streaming service is going to end. Anyone watch The Good Place? I did not think the last couple of seasons were as good as the first two, but I thought they really nailed the series finale. It was one of the best wrapping up of a series I have seen (although I could see people either loving or hating it).

The fourth season was better, though not to the point of the first two, as you said. The finale was gold. Then watching the interviews afterward with cast members got all the feels going.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Watching Killer in Plain Sight on Hulu right now (tonight)... solid crime show. Watched seasons 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Who's the Boss on Roku Channel. party of five, of course... and all-new season of The Walking Dead started last night.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Watching The Hunters on Prime. I enjoy it, but it’s a difficult watch, switching between 70’s stylish “Shaft” meets spy type and the pain of being a Holocaust survivor.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I am watching a couple of things on Netflix that might be targeted more for a much younger demographic ... Derry Girls -- I cannot decide if it is really clever/good or really stupid/bad (I think it might be really good), but it does make me laugh (as comedies of 1990's Northern Ireland strife tend to do). Locke and Key -- about half way through and it is so far has some suspenseful and creepy moments. Hopefully, it will have a stronger home-stretch than Hill House. A show probably not aimed at the tween set -- I am resuming my rewatch of the first season of Cheers. I suspect it will be pulled at some point when NBC's streaming service is in full pay mode. I loved Coach when I watched as a kid, and still do, but in retrospect, Woody might have been a funnier character (Harrelson did develop into a pretty good actor and might have been able to do more with the one-note of the character).

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Not a fan of the end of season four on the Expanse. Oh well. Still a good show, but it felt rushed the whole season.

PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 agreed, it felt like the timeline needed two seasons but they weren’t getting renewed.Did Expanse get cancelled? For a second time (after scyfy and going to amazon). Edit: Season 5 just got finished filming. So no.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Did Expanse get cancelled? For a second time (after scyfy and going to amazon). That would explain it!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 I'm 5 episodes into Counterpart on Prime (I believe also Stars). I really enjoy it so far, JK Simmons is awesome!
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Not one mention of Tiger King yet?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 I'm in the midst of watching Shameless. 10th season just aired on Showtime, but the whole series is available on Netflix. Pretty funny, a little raunchy, very entertaining!Just finished season 6. Very enjoyable. It's hard to tell which characters are redeeming and which ones are disasters, or neither, or both. I am hoping Joan Cusack make a reappearance.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Not one mention of Tiger King yet? It's a weird, wild ride. And certainly lends itself to internet content.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 For some reason, I'm really enjoying Zoey's Playlist.... Not the actual name....

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I stumbled across Dispatches From Elsewhere. Only seen episodes 3 and 1 (out of order) so far. The show has a certain style to it. Not sure where it's going but I may continue to find out.

GCTF Verified Member Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Better Call Saul has been, and continues to be, the best show on TV. That is all.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 I've watched too many, probably... I'm re-watching Breaking Bad for probably the 3rd time. I just got Peacock so I could watch Saved by the Bell. Now I'm almost all the way through Yellowstone. (5 days free trial. Gotta try to get in as much as I can) I recently re-watched the Leah Remini: Scientology and Aftermath, again.

I have to say this shows you have a wide range in what you like to watch. I am guessing not a lot of cross over of actors appearing in both shows.

On Peacock, I ended up watching Yellowstone's three seasons in about 4 days, and now I'm re-watching Paranormal Witness on there.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I think we had a thread about good TV shows but I can't find it. We have HBO Max and just finished The Outsider and just started Lovecraft Country. Both are really good.
