Even if it is some what tainted, I really got my kicks off the Roger Maris homer chase by McGwire and Sosa back in 1998.

 

Dozier's quest for 40 surpasses that 10 fold. I have to be honest, I never thought we would see a Twins player hit 40 jacks in a season again. The quest is not completed yet, but it looks promising.

 

Viva Dozier in a suck of all suck seasons!

Dozier is unreal right now.

 

He quietly is putting up numbers that should be getting MVP consideration.

 

Can you imagine what those numbers would look like right now if he wasn't one of the worst hitters in the league for the first few months of the year... It's unbelievable. When it's all said and done, this may be one of the greatest offensive seasons in the Twins history...and he's really done it over about half of a season.

Less than one minute. That's how long I made it into the broadcast before I had to mute it. How these FSN clowns can - with a straight face - compare Dozier to Killebrew is beyond me.

 

This top-to-bottom housecleaning should also include the TV and radio guys. This is absolute garbage.

This was comment #9. I tuned in long after the game ended and "listened" to Laudner talk about that Dozier leading the team in HRs "was a bad thing" and that Sano has to hit more to RCF and "not pull-off the ball" (smacks of David Ortiz in his time). Absolutely! Clean house in the Studio! Let the script writers (or the announcers) be free of interference from the Front Office. Obviously there are FCC regulations that must be obeyed and "trash-talk" can't be the "message". But, the baloney that is sliced that the problems are with the players must end! Management failed miserably as well as many of the players (though not all of the players!)

Dozier has moved into sole possession of 2nd place in the AL home run race, also puts him 2nd in the entire league.
