Hopefully Molitor is long retired before Dozier reaches that number.

Doubt it

At the pace he's on... Dozier should be at 32 by the end of this month.

Only C

Molitor makes him hit clean up once he reaches 32

I think the more interesting number is 42; most homers in a season by a second baseman in MLB history. (Rogers Hornsby and Dave Johnson, both in the NL).

It wasn't. I've heard them and know I'm not a fan. This was an someone I'd never heard of that I ended up despising even more.

How do you despise something "even more" when you've never heard of it?

Do you remember if the hip hop act was Doomtree?

According to Google, it was Astronautalis. Mr. Nautalis did not make a new fan in me that night.

Then again, I've been soured on the Twin Cities hip hop community for a long while now. While in college, the entertainment paper I helped run worked with a Twin Cities promoter that was putting on a show that featured Twin Cities "up and comers" and Juvenile. He didn't pay our cut, he didn't pay his advertising bill, he allowed our stuff to get stolen, he didn't get us the interview with Juvenile as was promised, he tried to convince that a white MC (who I'm convinced was Slug) was better than Eminem and he made us wait in the lobby of a hotel for an hour (for the aforementioned Juvenile interview) and almost made us witnesses in a sexual assault case that was reported while we were waiting.

Since then, I kinda swore off hip hop and even more so, the Minneapolis scene.

Whatever for? Your description previous sounds like just another typical day in the life of a Hip Hop/Rap promoter... except that no one was killed that particular day....

I'm concerned about Dozier's 36th homer. We've been hearing lots of thunder and seeing some rain. Is there foul weather headed towards Target Field?

I still don't understand why stats are erased if a game is rained out. Why can't the stats still count?

I wonder if your stuff being stolen was an inside job.

LOL

The Mankato Civic Center actually didn't book hip hop for a long time because of stuff like this. Ja Rule once refused to go on stage until he was paid his $20,000 fee in cash ... up front. A friend of mine ran the place at the time and he had to close all of the concession stands and empty their registers. He was able to scrounge up about half. Rule took the money after a breach of contract threat was made, along with threats of making a call to the IRS.

Later that night, Rule's opening act - Juvenile - and his entourage got thrown out of a bar for trying to bring high school girls in with them.

Those were teh days.

K, yeah, Dozier's value will never be higher...  He deserves some MVP consideration on an historically bad club.  What a year.

Yes, possibly

Going into today, Dozier was 9th in the majors in WAR (for position players).

And now he has two more HRs.

Sooo...  Top 5 in WAR by the end of the day?

I don't think it was. Their "security" all ran off to get Randy Moss' autograph. This was after training camp had ended, but he drove back down with his crew to "Back That Thang Up." As soon as he showed up, it became chaos.

Most of the stuff we lost was promo items from Miller - T-shirts, mugs, hats, etc. It was about $500 worth of stuff, but because we had a good relationship with the distributor, replacing it wasn't an issue. The one that hurt was the digital camera. This was 2002/2003, somewhere in there, so a new Sony Cybershot (a decent one, anyway) was about $700.

If you are hearing it and seeing it.

I'd be more worried about Winona and Lacrosse.
