sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 If 8 or 9 times this past weekend in Toronto counts as "recently," then yes.Yes...Pretty recent. Did the Twins score any of them?
Rosterman Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Sounds about right.Hey Santiago pitches a good game, Nolasco has to pitch a good game. Nothing wrong with that!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 For me it's between Fullmer and Naquin. I would vote Naquin just to spite him at this point.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Dick predicting a pitcher's duel tomorrow. That is rich.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Dick predicting a pitcher's duel tomorrow. That is rich.It really could happen, though. At least he didn't say that when we had Gibson scheduled. :-)
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Dick predicting a pitcher's duel tomorrow. That is rich. But doesn't one of the pitchers have to be from the Twins?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 If Dozier gets on, Mauer's up as the tieing run. A grand sl... who am I kidding?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Dozier's up with the bases loaded. We have a chance...
snepp Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Walking the 9 hitter, that has no business in the majors, with a 5 run lead, on 4 pitches. Fine his ass.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Dozier got a run home. Wasn't enough.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 ...........night after night and day after day it went on and on............
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Lah-who,zah-her. Baker's dozen edition.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 *sigh* But there's always tomorrow! Whether or not that's a good thing is open for interpretation.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 If Dozier gets on, Mauer's up as the tieing run. A grand sl... who am I kidding?I thought you were kidding me. For a moment. So... We didn't win?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 The Twins now have the all-time record for being swept in 3-game series at 11. With Atlanta likely to win today, the Twins will have the worst record in the MLB. They are also one more loss away from the Twins longest losing streak ever.
Guest Guests Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 To be fair, before tonight he was 0-4 with an ERA+ of 71. Alex Meyer dominated in 3 short stints with the Angels' rookie league team, then moved up to A+ and got shelled. So far I rate this trade a shrug.Sort of agree. But did you know that, by game score, Santiago's five games with the Twins, four of which were putrid, are not his worst five-game stretch this year? This isn't an advanced analytics stat, which has been alleged to undervalue him.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 So...We didn't win? No, I don't think we did. I would double check the boxscore, but even my masochism has its limits.
Guest Guests Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Molitor is heading into Cal Ripken, Sr. territory. Sad way to end a career.

Rosterman Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Logan Schafer drawing that 9th inning walk to load the bases! We have to move him up in the order now!
Rosterman Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Hey, Chattanooga Guy! Time to do a game recap with all those crazy observations about us posters who are now your new friends!
Rosterman Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 And, on a final note, wouldn't it be nice to leave Suzuki behind in Cleveland for a player-to-be-named later so we can get Mr. Murphy going up here in Minnesota, especially since they did add a third catcher to the Red Wings roster! (Are we going to get a PTBN now from Tampa Bay, or just a gift card).
snepp Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 3-18 in our last 21 games. Better than 0-13 in our last 13. Silver linings, anyone?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 well. on a positive note, with Atlanta's most likely win today, we have a game on them for 1 overall.
Kwak Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 When I see 13, I see Olivia (Cockburn) Wilde--not this Twins' "stuff".
big dog Verified Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 OK, looks like today was the day Mauer passed Sano in season-long OPS in the pool. Who saw that coming?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 OK, looks like today was the day Mauer passed Sano in season-long OPS in the pool. Who saw that coming?Dr. Neau ? What did I win?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Twins with a Rider dozen losses in a row.
