The Twins now have the all-time record for being swept in 3-game series at 11. With Atlanta likely to win today, the Twins will have the worst record in the MLB. They are also one more loss away from the Twins longest losing streak ever.

To be fair, before tonight he was 0-4 with an ERA+ of 71.

 

Alex Meyer dominated in 3 short stints with the Angels' rookie league team, then moved up to A+ and got shelled.

 

So far I rate this trade a shrug.

Sort of agree. But did you know that, by game score, Santiago's five games with the Twins, four of which were putrid, are not his worst five-game stretch this year? This isn't an advanced analytics stat, which has been alleged to undervalue him.

And, on a final note, wouldn't it be nice to leave Suzuki behind in Cleveland for a player-to-be-named later so we can get Mr. Murphy going up here in Minnesota, especially since they did add a third catcher to the Red Wings roster!

 

(Are we going to get a PTBN now from Tampa Bay, or just a gift card).
