USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 What's wrong with the 3B coach that he wasn't watching the ball to know that Buxton could have scored?!?!?He was worried Buxton would pass Suzuki?
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Man, that would have been fun to see ... a 2nd in-the-parker in the same series. Would he have made it?He sure would have, IMO. Though the Nunez inside HR was an error, this one would have been legit.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 but everyone agrees this was one of the funniest parts of the movieOkay, but are you going to watch that scene over and over and over again ... every single game, every single play ... and have it still be funny? Maybe you are the only one still laughing at it after seeing it 100 times in a row within a 3-hr period. I stopped laughing after the first time I saw it. Now, just stop, okay? If you want to continue this discussion with me in private, please do.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 He sure would have, IMO. Though the Nunez inside HR was an error, this one would have been legit.yeah ... that's why it would have been even more fun to see ... although some might say the ball was misplayed off the wall, but I don't and won't.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Seems the time down in the minors helped Bux.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 isn't Brainerd from Fargoa lot of what happened in the movie Fargo was actually in Brainerd, if that's what you mean.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 yeah ... that's why it would have been even more fun to see ... although some might say the ball was misplayed off the wall, but I don't and won't. I don't think it was really. He doesn't know how that wall plays and no way for him to know how high it would bounce.

Most of my posts ARE silly jokes and pictures poking fun at the team. But seems my pun-mobile was out of gas today. But whaaaatever!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Seems the time down in the minors helped Bux. I'll wait another month to say that because ... well ... just because ... but I'm hoping that yeah, that was just what was needed for him.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 isn't Brainerd from Fargohttp://filmmakeriq.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Fargo_033Pyxurz.jpg
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 a lot of what happened in the movie Fargo was actually in Brainerd, if that's what you mean.hmm, I've only seen it once and just remember the name.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Is Duffey OK? He's struggling out there.

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Well, good news is, Twins are getting runners on base. 7 hits 2 walks in 3 innings. Is it a "clutch" thing? I gotta lead, heck, just throw fastballs. Bases loaded, yeah, swing for the fences. It's getting to the point beyond weird.

But whaaaatever!Okay, that's fair ... just kind of remember ... we all know how things are ... I mean, I say my fair share of ****s during bad games ... but then move on. It's only a game ... and in these trying times, let's use the threads to pick each other up instead because we really NEED that right now. 'K?
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 I'll wait another month to say that because ... well ... just because ... but I'm hoping that yeah, that was just what was needed for him.still is having issues with good curves from left handed pitchers. The ones that end up at his shoe laces.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Is Duffey OK? He's struggling out there.Seems he's gotten FAR away from his breaking stuff.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 hmm, I've only seen it once and just remember the name.Brainerd is an actual town in Minnesota, not a made up name. The TV show is awesome!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Ugh. We need to stop giving up these home runs right after we have a good inning. Is that too obvious? Am I being too obvious?

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Time in the minors has done Buxton well. That average has gone way up in no time. Hope he keeps it up, b/c if he does, I'll be perfectly fine leaving him up here.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 still is having issues with good curves from left handed pitchers. The ones that end up at his shoe laces.Yeah, well, not to be punny, but there's always a learning curve and this is Bux's to learn. But some pitches are going to just be good and will fool even the best of players. I'm hoping Bux will get there. Learning curve and all.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Sounds like Dozier is coming to bat this inning. I'm gonna bail before it gets ugly again Enjoy the game everyone
crapforks Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Look at Duffy's numbers with 2 out! http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=duffety01&year=&t=p#outsthat is nuts!
