The only reason I asked was because we're supposed to get bad storms today and I have zero experience with them

Do you have a basement? And a good flashlight (with fresh batteries) and a transistor radio (with fresh batters)?

Well, if the sirens go off, pay attention. I was living in Edina not from from 50th and France when a tornado rearranged a few facades on 50th and France and tossed the band shell at Lake Harriet into Lake Harriet.

All those years playing baseball, and Jack Morris doesn't like hot weather ?!?

No, I think Mr. Morris is a sadist. He liked breaking bats in 30 degree weather. I suspect breaking a bat in 30 degree weather is hard on the hands.

You were never a boyscout, were you?

I wasn't either. Nor was I a girlscout. But last summer I put together a hurricane preparedness kit for my parents who live in Florida. If you are going to get bad weather, have a good flashlight in the ready at the least. The radio ... well ... if power goes out, you might want something. You can use your phone, but then that wears its batteries down.

Go hide in your basement. Bring a flashlight and a radio or a radio flashlight!

I thought all TD posters were already posting from the basement.

Well, if you hear a strong wind that sounds like a freight train, take cover.

Depending on where you live, a hurricane kit consists of: a full tank of gasoline so you can run away and plywood for the windows.

Well, not everyone lives in an evacuation area; and some elderly folks aren't as adept at escape. Basically just made sure they had a full tank of gas, fresh water, flashlights and batteries, and food that doesn't need power to cook and eat.

There was a memorable time when the kids and I were living on the third floor of an apartment building and a wall of green water came horizontally at the living room window. No real basement, so, I moved the kids into the hallway. After the storm, about a 100 trees were down less than a mile from where we lived.

Or if you year a freight train that sounds like a strong wind, really take cover.

They say the mountains here break up any big storms.

But that's just what they say.

So surprised and disappointed at Duffy's collapse the last several starts. Who's left to call up? Darnell? Albers? Ugh.

Where'd you grow up? You've never experienced a whopping big storm before?

I've been very pleased with Kepler's stint thus far. His defense has been well above average and his offense has been very acceptable. I'd like to see him remain our right fielder for the remainder of the season, but for that to happen we'd need to make a trade.
