Game Thread: Twins vs Brewers, 4/19/16 @ 12:10 PM CT

[Craig Arko]

I have been constantly confused by TD Comments...

You and me both, bruddah.

[Blake]

I have been constantly confused by TD Comments about Nunez's lack of defensive ability.

I've seen nothing but capable defensive play since he's been with us.

I think the knock has been mental and not tools.

Just referring to his rep.  I haven't seen him play enough to have an opinion either way.

Danny just mentioned the Twins don't have a 3-city road trip this year.  I didn't believe him, so I looked it up, and he's correct.  That seems crazy to me--the Twins literally never go more than 8 days in between home games.

[TwinsCD]

Murphy's Law there.  I don't even see that in the high school games I do.  SMH

[Cap'n Piranha]

Why exactly is John Ryan Murphy bunting?

[Pitz]

Doesn't that actually lead to more travel for the team?

[Cap'n Piranha]

Maybe.  If you have a 9 game road trip, a 6 game homestand, a 3 game road trip, and another 6 game homestand, you'll have 6 trips.  A 6 game road trip, a 6 game homestand, 6 game road trip, and 6 game homestand is also 6 trips.

[70charger]

My word, that was terrible.

[TwinsCD]

And the wolves begin to howl louder...

Could you repeat that part about the stuff you said about the things?

[Dozier's Glorious Hair]

Okay, that was bad.

[Aggies7]

lol sano. just..why?

[Riverbrian]

Sano oops that one

Big Time

[big dog]

Sano played that ball like a bad third baseman.  He didn't move to get in front of the ball, he just tried to swipe it from the side.

[big dog]

Hey, 3 runs won't win this game!

...and hopefully 4 runs won't be enough either...

This has been an ugly inning, front to back.

[TwinsCD]

How is there a Little League game going on at Target Field if the kids are still in school at this hour?  Oy vey, the fielding in this inning...

[Riverbrian]

This is really bad baseball

[Cap'n Piranha]

Good to see the real Twins are back, and not that somewhat competent team that had been playing the past 4 days.

[Ultima Ratio]

Not this again.

[Winston Smith]

Sano oops that one

Big Time

Very athletic oops.

[KidBro]

If we could just somehow load the bases w/ zero outs 4 more innings, and bring in a well rested bullpen..... it would be chips and salsa time.

[70charger]

Hey! There's the defense!

[diehardtwinsfan]

What is the mlb policy on ghost runners?  I propose we just let Arcia bat every at bat and use ghost runners.

[Winston Smith]

The Brewers seem to have a lot of bad pitching.

[stringer bell]

The bottom of the order needs to do some damage this inning. How about a big crooked number?

[Blake]

Well, shoot.

Next inning.

[Danchat]

Maybe they'll send Boyer out in the 7th or 8th. Then the Twins could come back.
